You don't get it. The person obviously had a very good grasp on grammar and spelling, because there was a certain intentionality to the words that they chose to misspell. And the choice of emoticons seemed to be in mockery of the way that we normal people use them on a regular basis. I therefore thought it was a very viable possibility that Margaret was behind the prank.

I am starting to respect this person.

I respected him/her as soon as I was certain it wasn't someone truly incompetent. That made it all the more amusing to me, even if it was at your expense.
