I see! Aww, that's not fun. =/ We have an ATV, and my brothers ride it alllll the time. :P Or so it seems. xD
Even if they weren't broke I still couldn't ride much. No one is allowed on the trails alone because they are really dangerous, and everyone in family is always too busy. :P

I felt so bad when I saw the first part of his final theory the day it came out, searched for "Five Nights at Freddy's" on the Interwebs, and on THAT SAME DAY, FNAF4 was announced. XD
I do love how deep the storyline is though, and I'm impressed that the creator of the games is a Christian too. :)

The storyline is deep although very confusing. I'm kinda surprised the creator is a Christian. :)

Lawl. From the images on the site, seems like the Puppet didn't succeed in destroying Springtrap, because it looks like he came back, and more twisted than ever. XD
It was surprising to me too, but at the same time…does a Christian developer need to create "Christian" games? If anything, by making something completely original like FNAF, Scott made more of an impact that he ever did with any of the small-time "Christian" games he tried developing before. I mean, if a Christian can read a secular book (taking away the good, Christian themes from it), can't they write a novel that isn't explicitly Christian as well? Or a movie, or music? It's definitely something to think about. :)

I haven't seen many pictures. Maybe I should look some things up. :P
That's a good thought. I'm also wondering if he might bring something even remotely related to a Christian theme into the next game. I think it's very unlikely, but it has crossed my mind several times. :P
Hiruko Kagetane
I think the most Christian theme you can get from the games is the feeling of helplessness that is inherent to the game. As the security guard, you can't do anything. You can't fight the animatronics, you can't run from them, the most you can do is try to keep them away. You have no power over the demons after your soul. All you can do is try to avoid situations where they will take advantage of your weakness. And as Christians, we go to God, and ask Him for strength.
Ian R.2
You still there?
Edit- Oops. :P
Ian R.2
Hmm… Interesting. I guess I just don't think deep enough to find that in a game. :P
Hiruko Kagetane
Ha ha, I get it though. Games are often looked on as that "thing", one that doesn't have the redeeming qualities of a movie and is more time-wastey. And most of us have been trained to not think that much about games, except for the "bad ones". But since games are just an interactive experience, I think it's important for us to think about why we love and choose to experience games, at least once in a while. Trust me, I tend not to think very deeply when playing a LEGO game. XD
Ian R.2
Exactly. Although some of the newer games do have a story to them almost like a movie I still tend to think of them as just video games. :P

Trust me, I still tend to do that. But the same has been though about novels, radio, and TV back when they were all new, and I think that as games mature and grow as a medium, we'll see them unlock more of the potential they have to be great experiences. And we're seeing that a bit nowadays. Games like this:
Are part of what I think is one of the best parts of gaming. Putting you into the shoes of someone else and having you experience their world. :)

By that time, I probably won't care. I'd way rather die in SAO, at least I'd have a chance to survive, rather than risk getting mugged in some random alley in real life. :P
