How many people attend your church? Are there many young people? :)
Emily H
Well, I want to study the whole thing, depending on how long it is. :P What about you?
2 Corinthians 5:17
I want to lay a good foundation…getting a good start to memorizing the book, outlining it + studying it, reading commentaries, looking at the big picture, etc. :) Nats type studying. xD
2 Corinthians 5:17
changes profile picture xP
Matthew Minica
Well, I'll probably do some Nats-type study, but I'll also do a lot of other stuff I've been looking forward to for a while. xD Like Emily said, I hope to study through the whole thing, somewhat at least. Perhaps memorize it, depending on length.
Matthew Minica
I've found that to be verrrry true. xP Thanks for the tips. I've been working on some of those, but it's sooo much to think about at once. :P
2 Corinthians 5:17
Great :D Yeah, I hope we can memorize it. I was thinking recently, "What if they give us a really big book?" xP O_o
Matthew Minica
On an average Sabbath we have probably 100 people or so? And I think about half are 18 or younger. So yeah. xD There's a lot more kids 4 or 5 or more years younger than me than there are my age.
2 Corinthians 5:17
That's nice :) What time do you meet on Saturdays?
Matthew Minica
Umm, the general service recently changed to something like 11:25, I think. It goes for an hour or so. There is Sabbath School before that, but we rarely attend.
2 Corinthians 5:17
Alright. =)
Emily H

You're welcome. :P I know, that's exactly why it takes so long. It wouldn't be hard if you just had to think about bowing, but it's reading, counting, bowing, dynamics, sound quality… :P Try doing some easy scales that you can play well and just watch your bow, try doing whole bows, from the frog to the tip, getting as much sound as you can and going in a straight line. Then try the same scale in the upper half, and then in the lower half. (And if you can add one more thing to think about, try making sure you're bowing by just extending your elbow, not using your whole shoulder. {one teacher made me stand against a wall so I couldn't move my shoulder at all})
2 Corinthians 5:17
That's what I find really hard…not moving your whole arm but just the extending the elbow :P
Matthew Minica
Great ideas! I will try those out - thanks! =D
Emily H
Mmmm-hm. Hence my teacher standing me against the wall. xP What do you think about when you just move your wrist for short notes??? That's like…impossible. xP
Emily H
You're welcome! That's all stuff people have told me to do. Nothing original, unfortunately. xP
2 Corinthians 5:17
Yeah…one teacher did that to my brother. xD I don't really play much, although I'd like to get better at it. I squeak a lot. xP
Emily H
Btw, do you typically hold it more on your collarbone, or on your shoulder?
2 Corinthians 5:17
Where have you been reading in the Bible? :)
Matthew Minica
Haha, that's okay. x)
Emily H
Hehe! I still squeak it sometimes! lol
Matthew Minica
Um, tries to remember My shoulder, I think… How am I supposed to do it? xP
Emily H
Ecclesiastes and 2 & 3 John right now…
Emily H
More on your shoulder! :P If you hold it too far in front it's harddd to play in tune or do like anything. xP And also if you don't hold your fingering wrist straight!
Emily H
Because I memorized 2 John last year, but it's super rusty, and I wanted to finish 3 John also.
Matthew Minica
tries to remember…
Matthew 18 is a the chapter we as a family have been trying to memorize lately. We've also been doing some reading in Proverbs. As for my personal reading… I can't remember. I haven't been on any specific schedule lately, and that's really bad. x(
Matthew Minica
Good! xD Yes, I've read about that. I think I'm fairly good at that by now. :)
Emily H
Okay, good!! I held my wrist flat against the violin for the longest time, but I think I've finally broken the habit. Yay!
2 Corinthians 5:17
Great! I had been reading through the NT and finished it all except for Revelation, which I want to do, but I just finished up Isaiah this am :)
2 Corinthians 5:17
I guess I should go now…
Matthew Minica
Okay, if you must… :\ Bye!
Matthew Minica
Haha! Yay! xP
2 Corinthians 5:17
I don't have to, but I there are some things I want to get done before bed time, and that's only 1/2 of an hour away. ;)
Farewell Matthew and Emily! =( hugs Miss y'all…
Matthew Minica
Ah, okay. :P Farewell! hugs Miss you too! Haha… I've decided I'll never get tired of hearing that. xD
2 Corinthians 5:17
Haha…Great! xD xP
Have a great evening! Tell Courtney hi, please. :)
Emily H
Aw, goodnight Rachel! hugs Miss you too. ^wonders if my letter ever got through, of if I'll need to rewrite it again :P^
Matthew Minica
calls across the room "Rachel says hi again."
"Okay, tell her I said hi. *giggle*"
;P
2 Corinthians 5:17
Ohhhh! Yeah! I forgot to tell you! x) It came :D Thanks so much! Please tell your mom thank you for what she sent, too. :) I'll try to write back as soon as I can, but it might not be terribly soon. =/
Love you! Bye!
2 Corinthians 5:17
facedesk xP What, am I telling her hello too often? :P hides xP
Matthew Minica
*facedesk* xP What, am I telling her hello too often? :P *hides* xP
Hehe. xD
Emily H
Yay!! xD I will! =) Haha, that's okay! I know you're busy, and I'm busy too! And we both have other letters to reply to. ;D
Love you too! Bye! Rest well!
Matthew Minica
It's just that, telling each other "So-and-so says hi" is just a teensy bit awkward. xP
Matthew Minica
But I do it too, so nothing to worry about. ;P

Yeeeaahhh…I thought of that. :P Sorry. x) But if she would get on MV, I wouldn't have to do that! x)

2 Corinthians 5:17
Alright…bye for real! xD xP
Matthew Minica
Wow… you first announced your departure twenty minutes ago! ;P Bye for real!
Matthew Minica
Two more emails left before yours, Emily. ;D I've kind of been putting yours off because I've already been talking with you a lot in other places.
Emily H
That's fine, I do that too. ;D
What was that you were talking about the other day, about beavers and such? :P
Matthew Minica
Lol! Beavers and such… xP xP Well, they're known as the four temperaments of something or other. xP They've been studied from ancient times. My grandpa recently sent Courtney some information about them, since he was talking to us about them on our trip. So, there's sanguine - born to party, and the animal comparison is the otter. Then there's choleric - born to lead, comparable to a lion; phlegmatic - born to please, comparable to a golden retriever; and melancholy - born to analyze, which is the beaver. :P I think my dominant temperament is melancholy, but like I was saying before, I can definitely see all four at times. I can probably give you some more detailed descriptions sometime if you want. :)
