Thank you! Here's the question:
Which one of the following is never recorded in the Bible as being stoned?
A) Peter
B) Jesus
C) Paul
D) Stephen
InSoloChristo
@Andy: Thank you! I'll try to maintain a high standard - I've already rejected far more questions than I've approved. It certainly is difficult to make high-quality questions.
@anna: The "implausible" answer, then, is Jesus. When exactly was he ever stoned…? Twice in John (8:59; 10:31) it is recorded that the Jews intended to stone him, but he escaped in each case.

Ohhh! You're right! facepalm
Thank you! Now I'll go edit it :).

I now have a question that is -20%. I have no idea how! I didn't even think it was very hard :).

Since you'll probably wonder: The Hiram of 1 Kings 7:13-14 is not the same as King Hiram, or is not generally considered to be. He's called by a different name in 2 Chronicles 2, distinguishing him from the king. His occupation (and his father's) is that of a bronze worker, not a king.
M27
Are you talking to me about the question I submitted, or is this about a question in the quiz?
M27
Ah, I see what you mean. It makes more sense (especially since his father was a worker in bronze, and a king probably wouldn't be). Thank you for pointing that out. I'm pretty bad with 1 and 2 Kings and 1 and 2 Chronicles, so I hadn't noticed that before.
It's interesting that 1 Kings says that his mother was from Naphtali and 2 Chronicles says she was from Dan.
InSoloChristo
Hmm, you're right. I looked up 2 Chronicles 2:14 in the Reformation Study Bible, which gives this note: "1 Kin. 7:14 reports that the mother of Huram-abi (Hebrew Hiram) was from Naphtali. She may have been from Dan but living in Naphtali."
Sounds plausible. Thanks for mentioning that; I hadn't noticed before. :)
M27
That makes some sense.
You're welcome :).

how many times are questions used?
just wonderin'
InSoloChristo
As many times as necessary. The system recycles old questions, but gives priority to newly approved questions. (This is not true of the Bible Bee quizzes, though, which are constructed differently.)

okay. so if there aren't enough questions for the quiz they'll use the older questions?
that kinda makes sense

I'm going to try to review more of the submitted questions now, so here's quick reminder to everyone: know and follow the rules. Andy has written the criteria for a good question on the first page of this forum. Don't submit questions until you read them, please. The most important thing to note is that verse references must be provided, but they must not be given within the text of the question.
Also, at some point (perhaps soon), I'll need to go through all the Bible Bee quiz questions that were submitted this summer. Like last year, I'll probably reject most of them with labels such as "No Reference", "Ambiguous", and "Trivia". Once again, this doesn't mean they're bad questions, just that they aren't well-suited to the general knowledge quizzes. If you find one of your Bible Bee questions rejected, you can try to revise it according to Andy's criteria, or delete it at your leisure.
(Hmm. I believe I have just plagiarized myself.)
[I'll be putting this off until the quizzes are fixed. I don't want to make anything worse.]

Hey I"m gonns give this another shot……..
Anyone interested in bringing back the Bible Bee quizzes?

Hi, Lil'biblegal, The quiz feature has been totally disabled by the developer as it was generating incorrect timing responses, etc. He did quite a few months ago. I've been unable to communicate with him before or since (though I did suggest this just prior to him disabling it as it was creating quite a few problems). I, too, miss it a little, but there really isn't anything else I can suggest. Sorry.
But I do encourage you to keep up with your memorizing work on Memverse. I feel it is such a wonderful God-inspired tool to help people write His truths and promises onto their hearts and minds. May God continue to bless you as you walk with Him!!

Sad…..
That was such a great tool.
