Some of both… I went through a children's method book we had gotten a long time ago for Courtney, though it wasn't long before I got advanced enough to stop doing that. It was so easy of a method that it wasn't till the third book or something that you actually started doing songs. =P But it did have some really good technique pointers. It really takes just a lot of practice to get it down right; when I first started it didn't sound very good… :P My technique would probably be even better now if I had a teacher, but oh well. It's been so long that I've forgotten a lot of what I did…

Okay, thanks! I've been trying to play/practice violin more, so I can feel confident enough to play around others if another violin is needed, like we did at your house. :) Practicing in front of a mirror really helps, lol…I didn't realize I was moving my bow arm so much. xP

Yup, that's an embarrassing moment! :) Joy said that it's one of her favorite memories of me from my life. I wasn't really sure what to think about that :).
