But doesn't it cost money to sign up?

Edit- it does… I'm not paying 25$ for it when I can get the study guide ( whatever the new name for it slips my mind) for 20$, which still is a lot. :/

What's going on in Christian music?? Or is it just me? In the past week I've heard a song from Matthew West that smells strongly of For King and Country. The new one from Tenth Avenue North almost made me wonder if I was actually listening to Young & Free. And to top it off, I actually like the brand-new song from Skillet! GASP

trolling alert ^(sorry, just had to say that to somebody xP And I was just looking back at the various Music threads)^

I've been wondering similar things. Anyone notice that the songs from Jason Gray, Urban Rescue, and Love and the Outcome all sound very, very similar? It's weird. CCM has kind of changed in the past six months

Nope, haven't noticed. xP xP Btw Cory, you need to get on MV more!

Matthew: you said, "I actually like the brand-new song from Skillet! GASP". Does that mean you don't care for their other songs or something? Sorry if I'm missing your point. xP

Haha, well, Skillet is the iconic band that most people think of as an example of "Christian hard rock". Yeah, I don't really like their style. But their new single is very different. x)

I've never made that connection between Jason Gray and Love and the Outcome… I see what you're saying though. I don't think I've heard Urban Rescue.

I'm sure we could talk about favorite Bible passages for a very long time.

Hey! Joshua and Katrina, good! Hopefully we'll get something done.

Good idea. What was your favorite passage from 2015 Nats, and why? (all of you)

One verse that's been import to me at this point in my life is Psalm 119:37, "Turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things, and revive me in your way." It always such a struggle to keep focused on eternal things. I get distracted very easily. That's one of the reasons I like the Bible Bee.

One passage I enjoyed learning from the 2015 Bible Bee was Isaiah 6:1-5. It was fun to quote, and it really puts our position before God into perspective.

My favorite from 2015 Nats was Psalm 27. It talks so beautifully about faith and hope and patience, and I love the way David expresses his longing and love for God in verses 4 and 8.

Rachel. I've been debating over this for the longest time… do you think I should post an update on the Calvinist thread? I was thinking of putting the paper I sent you on there. But, it might not do that much good, seeing pretty much everyone who was posting over there has all but left Memverse. x)
