The past, on the other hand, is our heritage, so much to gain, so many mistakes to learn from, so many courageous heroes to admire and emulate. History is our giant upon whose shoulders we stand, if we have the mind to do so, to see more clearly, decide more astutely, to learn from those who have gone before. There is a reason Israel was to set up monuments, keep feasts, follow certain practices, and that was so when their children asked why these things were so, they could tell them of what great things God had done for them in the past. To praise Him for what He _had_ done, in order to better _trust_ Him for the future. The Bible, after all, is mostly about the past. [highfive to anyone who actually read that]* 13. Beside, 14 is a good number, not overly short, but not burdensomely long. 14 isn't overtaxing to mental capability, you get a wide variety of questions, and it's a multiple of 7. xP*

Playing dead only has a slim chance of working since they can usually tell if your hearts beating, and good luck trying to out running one. How I would go about fighting it depends on what I have. A backpack could temperately absorb strikes from the bear. if i have something poky like a trekking pole, stab at the eyes and neck. if i have a stick thats more like a staff or pole, i would plant it in the ground at a 45 something degree angle, get down and put one foot behind it then let the bear charge onto it, then RUN! If it's more of a Club like strike at the snout and paws. However Ideally i would have a metal stick and just like shoot it.* 8. Have you ever been on an airplane? If yes, how many times and where were you going? *hard to say, my parents took me all the way around by the time i was five. but i did fly in an experimental aircraft with a Friend once.* 9.
