That Moment When...

That also happened to my dad and brothers once...whoever did it, bless them! x) I wish there were more people like that in the world! (I mean, not more people to pay for your meal, lol...but kind people. Seems our world today is losing the art of kindness, to an extent.)
...although people to pay your meal would be nice, too! ;) My brother and sister both work at Tim Hortons, which is a chain of coffee shops in our area, and I have heard about instances where one person will pay for the meal of the person behind them, so when the person behind pulls up to the drive-through window, as they didn't have to pay for their meal, they will pay for the person behind them, and a whole chain will start. There's normally someone though who goes "Oh. Thanks!" and drives off *facedesk* I think since most people are being public schooled now, they aren't getting the teaching about proper manners and kindness, etc. It's kind of sad. Most teens sadly are not being good representatives of our generation :/

I don't mean to sound harsh, but having proper manners and being kind doesn't have anything to do with whether you go to public, private or home school.There are some public school kids that are perfectly nice, and some homeschoolers that are not. A lot of homeschoolers get mad when public school kids stereotype them, so why do homeschoolers do the same thing to public school kids?

Perfectly said. I know some homeschoolers who, although being nice people overall, have very poor manners. I don't even think they recognize what they are doing. On the contrary, I know quite a few public schooled kids who have very good manners. In addition to this, I would say one of them is probably the strongest Christian I know. I agree that many kids in public/private schools have poor manners and for the most part just care about themselves, I have unfortunately been on the receiving end of this many times. But that simply isn't everyone.

I feel like everyone here thinks anyone who is not homeschooled is evil, corrupt, etc. Schools generally are not godly environments and promote many worldly things. However this doesn't mean we should stereotype them. Many are standing up in this place shining brightly for God. In the end, that is what matters.

I truly do not think this…I know there are kids in the public schools who are being a light for Jesus, and not everyone who goes to public school has bad manners. I am sorry if anything I said ever hinted at this, please forgive me. Just want to be clear. :)

I said I feel like. I have really weird emotions lol and also wrote that right when I woke up, which was 3 hours earlier than usual. XD I didn't really mean it that way. So sorry for that. I guess I should have said that I feel everyone thinks we are so much better than them, which in some occasions may be true, but when we think that, we are being proud, which is something God opposes.

I just want this to be clear. I've noticed people judging kids who go to school. It really makes me frustrated to see this, especially when people have no other option, as my friend who I wrote about. Pretty much everyone who is frequently on here is homeschooled, but at times we have had users who go to school, and imagine how they might feel… Sorry my brain is dead. I guess I just wanted to remind everyone to A) consider the feelings of other users and B) stay humble, remembering we are blessed to have this wonderful opportunity. Instead of complaining about the typical teenager, we should be investing into their lives, showing them how to live, whether it be proper manners, following Christ, or any other aspect of life.

… when you have a ballet exam for which you can only wear tights and a leotard. Kinda sucks, but its not that bad.
Well until I realize the only two leotards I can find are a nude camisole leotard or one with a huge hole spanning the entire right side. Ok, maybe this is a problem.
