Hey, I didn't invent it. :P Besides, what's so weird about it? I mean, yeah, it's random, but so are a lot of other things… National Donut Day was last month, National Selfie Day was a week or so ago, National High Five Day was a few days ago, today is also Social Media Day (whatever that even means- I think it should be more like Take-a-Break-from-Social-Media Day), and I thought someone posted something on here about a National Hug Day awhile back. :P

Disclaimer: I'm not necessarily saying I like or don't like National Handshake Day or any of the other things I posted. This is, after all, the Random Announcements thread. :P
