^*thought you weren't here...*^^an actor who played Judah Ben-Hur and also Moses, and was a gun rights activist, and I think campaigned for Rick Green a long time ago, or something like that. xP^Charlton Heston is awesome, just sayin. :P ^isn't here^*wants to know who Charlton Heston is, but since you're not here I guess I can't ask. :P*
Don't say that! She might really leave. xP
Matthew Minica
^Nathan Hale is awesome too. But let's just stop there when it comes to spies.^
^Haha! I actually know who that is, but you probably know more about him. :P^
ZachB
Hehe. I answered you too, but then my email glitched and erased the whole thing. So I'll answer it again. :PLol! *tries to remember the last time I used either of those* Pretty much like 100% of my school is on the computer now. Btw I did respond to your email, after getting distracted 1000 times by Memverse. xPLot's of stuff. xP I used floppy disks too until we moved. xP *waits to hear little siblings ask what floppy disks are*Yea. :/ Lol what do you still use them for?Aw, that's too bad. Hehe, we would still use them if we hadn't moved....I still use cassette tapes. xP xPNot sure. It's a new one...and it's pretty violent. (ugh..) *raises hand* I know we do, but the only ones I can think of are the "learn your alphabet sounds" ones from decades ago that are lying in the basement. xPHow many are there? I saw the original one and an animation we used to have on VHS. Okay... raise your hand if your family still has VHS tapes.... xP xPYes, 20s and 30s as well. Pretty much before the 60s ruined most literature. :P We saw the trailer for a new Ben Hur movie....*shudders*...awful. :PYep. I read a lot from the 20's and 30's. :P No, I have not, but I've seen 2 different movies.... xPYea, that's what I do. Pretty much all of the books I've read were written before 1900. Have you read _Ben Hur_?You go back and read all the old ones.... xP xP ^or sometimes read textbooks.... :P^An Agatha Christie book. ;)It sounds familiar, haven't read them though. How do you find good books nowadays anyway? Most modern girl books are romantic sentimentals, and most modern guy books are violent and bloody. :/
Lol okay. a very slight nudge to anyone else who hasn't responded to my emails yet jk xP

^That's what happened to me earlier today when I tried to leave. Zach said I couldn't leave because it's not fall, and then I tried to run and he asked me if I was an engine! xP^ Ahem.
Anyways, no, I don't think I have! What's it about? I actually have not read a ton of old spy stories, but I loved the ones I read. xD
Matthew Minica
Maybe you're just now realizing how much you've missed Memverse…? ;P
ZachB
Random thought. Do you all realize that if we keep up this pace we will have over 15,000 posts on here by the end of the month?!?

^Nathan Hale is awesome too. But let's just stop there when it comes to spies.^^Haha! I actually know who that is, but you probably know more about him. :P^
^Quite probable, since I was working on writing a paper on his life, and found this book that was like "all public information available on the life of Nathan Hale" which was like 700 something pages long, and, read, I'd say probably most of it. Along with a lot of other stuff I could find, and audio books and stuff.^

Um, yeah, there are some pretty awful endings sometimes. :P I still love them because I love courage. xD

xPxP It's about the Revolution from a spying perspective, it has stuff about Nathan Hale and John Andre, and some other less familiar people. People who had to quarter soldiers and listened in on their conversations and reported it to the patriots, the (I know I'm so going to spell this wrong…) Calper spy ring… Benjamin Tamladge's (again…spelling…) code… a lot of partial stories, and legends because people don't really go about saying "oh hey, yeah, so I was a spy…" =P ;P

How very random that you thought that random thought was random! xP ^Okay, this is starting to sound a lot like a "conversation" I had with Marija on here, except that it was with the word "suspicious", not "random" xP xP lol^

Whoa, you're getting kind of random here. What I meant to say was that the random thought that you said was random actually wasn't as random as you said it was. xP

I haven't read a ton either, but yeah, I love the ones I have read too. xD Even when they end really awfully. :PUm, yeah, there are some pretty awful endings sometimes. :P I still love them because I love courage. xD
Agreed. :D That they're willing to risk their lives to defend their country…and that spying was considered so dishonorable, spies would be hung and not shot because being shot was more honorable. xP And then how bravely they face death too…

It's pretty short, and written more for kids/younger teenagers I'd guess. But it has a lot of really awesome information. And codes and stuff hid in the book. xD

Me either. xP But even people like Andre and Arnold are very interesting to learn about…and see what made them make the decisions they did… Do you know about the pre-traitor Benedict Arnold? No, I don't!
Emily H
Oh wow. Ummm... yeah. I think I just made the worst understatement of the month. *hides*
Lol. xP It's only the first. ;P jk
Matthew Minica
Do you know about the pre-traitor Benedict Arnold?
Only what I've heard from Liberty's Kids… which might not be the most accurate… =P

Exactly! Even if I don't agree with their cause, I still admire courage and loyalty, always. :D Do you know much about Dietrich Bonhoeffer? That's my favorite spy story ever. xD
No, I don't know much about the pre-traitor Arnold! What was he like? :P And Emily Geiger volunteered to carry a message through British lines… i can't remember much of her story, but basically she got caught and then, while the British went to get a lady to search her, she memorized the message, ripped it up, and swallowed it.
