Agreed. :D That they're willing to risk their lives to defend their country...and that spying was considered so dishonorable, spies would be hung and not shot because being shot was more honorable. xP And then how bravely they face death too...

Exactly! Even if I don't agree with their cause, I still admire courage and loyalty, always. :D Do you know much about Dietrich Bonhoeffer? That's my favorite spy story ever. xD No, I don't know much about the pre-traitor Arnold! What was he like? :P And Emily Geiger volunteered to carry a message through British lines... i can't remember much of her story, but basically she got caught and then, while the British went to get a lady to search her, she memorized the message, ripped it up, and swallowed it.

Ahh, his story is so sad. He was a great soldier and patriot, was wounded in the Battle of Saratoga, I believe, but then, from what I've heard/studied, he was passed up for promotion, married an extravagant British lady, then turned traitor, fled to England and died an outcast…no one likes traitors. One time he asked an American POW what would happen to him if the Americans captured him… the POW informed him that his leg which had been wounded would be cut off and buried with full military honors while the rest of him would be hung. To this day there are monuments at the battle fields honoring the officers who fought so bravely…where his name should be is just left blank.

Okay. :D I read a huge long book about Bonhoeffer once, and now I totally love his story. It still makes me think, because the ethical implications of what he did are kinda complicated.

That is so sad!! Wow… to go through all that and then die a traitor… just wow.

Lol, that's right. xP Which that reminds me of another movie I watched…the kids were with Joseph as a boy, and then fast forwarded into when he was ruler. Joseph, of course, remembered them, and said "You three haven't changed a bit!" Their response? "Uhhh…We work out a lot."

Well, apparently the Patriots had a Clinton too, so they took the spy to him.
