That Moment When...

When you're sharing a meal at a Bible Bee meeting... and about ten minutes into the meal, you suddenly notice that you're sitting at a table with about a dozen girls and one other boy (who's three years old). Then you look over at the other table and see all the rest of the boys over there. ...What can I say? I just sat down next to my sister. I guess that shows how little I think about all that. xP xP
Now you know how I suffered in California. xP jk lol!

Hope it gets better soon!

haha! Once at a swim meet we got a long table, and I was the last person to get to the table, so I ended up sitting next ot all the boys. They were pretty funny (and good, they didn't use as much bad language). ^and then the people forgot my food, so I had to wait 1/2 hour for it, so one of the boys gave me some of his. lol^ xP Anyways… xP xP

…when you hear a friend of yours (she's only almost 3 months older than I) is engaged! O.o No, just no; how can people my age be courting/dating and getting engaged??! We're still…kids! XP =P xD

Wow! I know. Why did I ever think that I would get married when I was eighteen? That's so much younger than I used to think that it was :). Is this a Bible Bee person? :)

I know right? xP I used to think 18 was so grown up and mature. Well, I'm 18, and sometimes I wonder how much of those I really am. xP Yes, it was Bella's twin sister, as she posted on another thread. ;)

Hm, for me it's like looking back at where I was even just a couple years ago and seeing how much I've grown and matured, and considering what I need to be as an adult, or at 18, which for me is only a year and five months away! I get how some people can get married at 18, and while I'm all for getting married young, I'm 99% sure I'm not going to be married or even ready by 18, lol. almost facedesks at how weird that sounds :P :P

Lol! Yes, I know what you mean…and I know I have grown and matured in the last few years, but what I'm saying is; when I was 12, I thought 18 was sooo mature and everything. xP xP

I think that reading old books when I was young made me think that just about everyone got married when they were 18 :). But I guess that it's true that I've matured a lot in the last two years, so maybe I'll mature a lot in the next two years :).

True, and to some extent that is always true for most people. When you were 12, 18 was 50% older than you were now. So back then you probably thought of 18 year olds the same as what you now think of 27 year olds, people who are 50% older than you are now.

Really? All the books I've read have unsuccessfully tried to give me the impression that young marriage is bad and people should wait until 30 to get married.

I have read Little House on the Prairie, and that's definitely an exception, but the majority of the books that I read that have any sort of subtle romantic relationship intertwined within them (which type of book I generally try to avoid, lol) involve the main character not marrying until like 24-30 years old, even if they've known each other for half a decade (which imo is wrong).

Okay. I can only think of one book that fits that description. Anyways, books with that kind of stuff are usually pretty unrealistic, no matter what age the people are.

Exactly. I don't read books that have a romantic plot, but it seems as though most mystery or adventure books just have to have some little sort of romance thrown in to ruin the book. :P lol
