This week I started the Silmarillion again. I only made it halfway through last time, but now I have a bit more free time than I did (and also a "soundtrack" to listen to) so I expect to get the whole way through this time around.

Oh my goodness, we used to have the entire Sugar Creek Gang series!! Unfortunately we had to leave them behind when we moved. :'-( I didn't know anyone else even read those.

yeah i know my sister was so into them not anymore.

I read so little I don't really know. I like the Hobbit the the LOTR books and that's honestly the only books I've read and enjoyed.

I would recommend the Men of Grit series. It was published by Vision Forum so you might have trouble finding them.

We don't have them so I'd probably end up spending all summer trying to find them… xD

I like going to a friend's house and just looking through their books and borrow whatever I like.

@Bethany: …….I'm a bit late to say this, but if you're willing to go more hardcore Tolkien, I really, really enjoyed the Silmarillion. It can be a bit tricky to get through because it's not exactly traditional story form (not much dialogue, moving a bit too slowly at times and a bit too quickly at others), but the characters are wonderful. It's darker than LOTR and The Hobbit, but I liked it a lot. I don't know, though…a lot of people think it's boring. So don't take my word for it.
