If this scenario seems normal:

four year old brother runs up
"can we use your periodic table for a game?"

Me: "um, sure."

brothers start playing this settlers-of-catanesque game on periodic table (with army men, pencil and paper, dice, cars, trading and battles.)

me: hey, mom, can I count this as schoolwork for william and sam?

Mom: sure, what subject would you put it under?

Me: how about math, science, economics, and writing?

What about history? After all, there were army men! :P

When your diner table doubles as your homework desk. As does the floor, couch and bed.

And if you get either of these two reactions to the statement "I'm homeschooled" a lot:

"Wow, you must be really smart then."

or

"Ooooh…"

^then, if you're telling people you're homeschooled then you'd better be a homeschooler^

Me: "Yep!" and I'm proud of it!
