Haha, no, I'm not gone yet - I'm writing an email to the Baptist headquarters in Springfield to tell them that I'm looking for a job playing for a church. I've been putting it off for a while, but really need to get it done.

I'm not completely sure, but the majority of Baptist churches in the area (which is the majority of churches - Baptist is the predominate denomination over here) are registered with the Greene County Baptist Association, so one of the Music chair at my college suggested I contact them - hence I am writing an email.

Hm, our church is part of the Southern Baptist what ever they call it. All I know about that is my dad read the book and only agreed with it enough to say he didn't have a huge objection to joining… or something like that. I don't remember everything that went on…
(My grandma tells me I'm really Reformed Presbyterian… She's going to send me books on the subject. shrugs Random fact. Crazy though, if I am ARP why do I need to read books? laughing)

Yes, I read that booklet (Baptist Faith and Message) as well and don't agree with everything, but there is nothing that is so objectionable I would refrain from participating in one of their services on a regular basis.
My Church is ARP(C) too - from what I can tell I line up with their beliefs better than any other denomination that I know of.

<Well, I'll read whatever books my grandma sends me and find out what I really think. :) Maybe I am ARP… it can't be so bad if you are one.
