Yes, I did–Exodus 10, 1 Samuel 11, Psalm 60, Proverbs 29, Song of Solomon 7, Isaiah 60, Luke 16, Acts 4, Philippians 3, and Revelation 17. I did my reading yesterday as well, although I was not able to say so here. :)
His Servant
Thanks for asking, Rachel! Yes, I did do my reading for today :) I read Day 53…and I'm sorry, but I don't think I can correctly put down what chapters I read, but I did do it! ;D
SavedByGrace
I did my reading for today, Day 61: Exodus 11, 1 Samuel 12, Psalm 61, Proverbs 30, Song of Solomon 8, Isaiah 61, Luke 17, Acts 5, Philippians 4, and Revelation 18. How about everyone else? :)
SavedByGrace
Sorry for failing to post yesterday, but I did do my reading then! :) And I also did it today, Day 63: Exodus 13, 1 Samuel 14, Job 2, Psalm 63, Proverbs 1, Isaiah 63, Luke 19, Acts 7, Colossians 2, and Revelation 20. How about everyone else? :)
His Servant
Yes! I did :) Exodus 5 (?), 1 Samuel 6 (?), Psalm 56, Proverbs 24 (or somewhere in that book) Song of Solomon 2, Isaiah 56, Luke 13, Acts 28, Ephesians 5, and Revelation 13.
Seriously, Nicolas, how do you remember the chapters numbers so well? I can remember all that I read IN the chapters, but not the numbers quite so well…as I'm sure you've noticed :D
SavedByGrace
Well… pretty much the only reason I know so well is because I look at my previous posts and go one or two chapters forward……. :P
SavedByGrace
I did my reading yesterday (though I did not post here then) and today! :) Here's what I read today: Exodus 15, 1 Samuel 16, Job 4, Psalm 65, Proverbs 3, Isaiah 65, Luke 21, Acts 9, Colossians 4, and Revelation 22 (finally restarting that list! :D). How about everyone else? :)
SavedByGrace
Okay, I promise I'm NOT posting only every other day on purpose! It just happens sometimes that I don't get to post here. :) But yes, I did my reading yesterday and today. Today's reading was Day 67: Exodus 17, 1 Samuel 18, Job 6, Psalm 67, Proverbs 5, Jeremiah 1, Luke 22, Acts 10, 1 Thessalonians 2, and Hebrews 2. How about everyone else? :)
His Servant
Well, I'm partly finished with my Bible reading for today - I still need to read the NT chapters. Once I have finished those chapters, I'll have finished Day 67.
Did everyone else do their reading?
I must confess that I didn't follow the reading plan on Saturday (just read Psalm 96) and Sunday, because of the big sickness we had over at our house…
SavedByGrace
Yes, I did do my reading today; thanks for asking! :) I read Day 68: Exodus 18, 1 Samuel 19, Job 7, Psalm 68, Proverbs 6, Jeremiah 2, Luke 24, Acts 11, 1 Thessalonians 3, and Hebrews 3. And everyone else? :)
His Servant
Glad you did your reading for today :) I'm likin' the reading plan more each day! I'm starting to feel a lot more familiar with books than I did before - how about you?
SavedByGrace
Same here! It's getting better and better the more I read, and I am definitely getting more familiar with the Bible. :)
SavedByGrace
Today I read Day 69: Exodus 19, 1 Samuel 20, Job 8, Psalm 69, Proverbs 7, Jeremiah 3, John 1, Acts 13, 1 Thessalonians 4, and Hebrews 4. How about everyone else? :)

Are you guys doing Professor Horner's 10 Chapters a day method? I'm doing it and I think it's awesome!
SavedByGrace
Yes, that's what we're doing, and I agree with you totally–"it's awesome!" Hey, you could join our accountability group! :) (If you don't mind, of course. :D)
2 Corinthians 5:17
So far today I've read Matthew 24, and I'll do the other chapters later today, LW :)
admin
I'm doing it too….. It's great!!!!!!!
admin

admin
Is this the group??
Grace Mieczkowski
This is indeed the group! There's no "official" joining, and no "rules" as to when and how you post.
As far as reporting on my own reading, I believe I've mentioned a time or two here on the forums that one of my goals in 2013 is to be entirely consistent with my Bible reading. I have indeed, in God's strength, read my Bible every single day in 2013. But my goal was not just to read my Bible every day, but to read an entire day-worth of Professor Horner's plan. A few Sundays ago - by the way, Sunday is still the hard day for me! - we got home from Sunday evening service, I had a migraine, and it was late. I began my reading, and was just feeling worse and worse. Finally, Mom told me that I really needed to go to bed. I felt TERRIBLE for not finishing my entire reading….. Now, I know that it's the heart and not the quantity of reading that matters, but I've also come to realize that excuses to not stay faithful are SO tempting! So, I've been trying to stay super accountable, using a checklist, to doing my reading no matter what. After my semi-missed day, I realized that I couldn't let that discourage me from still being faithful, and that I must realize that our standing before God is not influenced by whether I read 10 chapters that day or not….
Well, that was just my attempt to "dump" some of my thoughts…. Hopefully it made some sense :)
I read Day 167 today: Jhn 10; Deut 14; Rom 11; 1 Jn 2; Eccl 1; Ps 17; Prv 12; 1 Chr 16; Ezek 44; Ac 27
His Servant
Even though I've given myself 5 days that I can "not do" my reading plan, I've already used 2 days up. I was actually pretty unhappy with myself afterwards, because I had those days in mind for when I have my surgery in May and will be in no condition to do any reading.
I think the most important thing, Grace, like you said - is to carry on, and not let the past hinder us for the future.
Have the rest of you done your reading?
admin
Haven't done today's yet… (it's still Thursday on the west coast!)
Sometimes I like to do it before I go to bed and then I spend some time memorizing scripture or doing extra Bible reading… The other night I ended up going through 22 chapters in one night… I sorta lost rack of time, I guess!
I agree with His Servant I and Grace in not letting the past hinder our future… Reminds me of Paul's words in Phil. 3:13: "Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,"
Very apropos for all of us, I think!

Just finished today's 10 chapters!
His Servant
Did my reading for today! Read Day 68 :) How about the rest of y'all?
@Jordan - You can just call me Bethany, if you like… :P
SavedByGrace

I also did my reading yesterday, but was not able to post here. And I have to admit that I also have missed a day this year–in fact, it was on January 4th! But like you all have been saying, just carry on and pray that God would allow you to stay faithful. :)
His Servant
Yes, so true. Faithfulness is a necessity in our life (Luke 16). BTW, Nicolas - did you see my comment on the "Advice Anyone" forum? :P
SavedByGrace
No, not yet; I'll check it out. :)
admin
Ok… Are you the Bethany I think you are?
BTW: did my ten chapters for the day!
His Servant
I did my Bible reading today, Day 71. Have you all done your's? :)
@Jordan - I'm the Bethany you met right before one of the challenge rounds, and we talked about piano for a long time, and then I introduced my older brother to you :P
Dani(elle)
I finished my 10 chapters from yesterday and did two of my chapters for 2day. I have an app on my iPod where I can just check each chapter off my daily bible reading plan it's really cool!

Uhh…Nicolas. I'm wondering if you got off on your reading - you're supposed to be one chapter ahead in your Exodus reading than your 1 Samuel. Look back at your last day you posted, and you'll see what I'm taking about. Hopefully though, it's just a mistake in your comment, and not in your reading :)
SavedByGrace
Whoops! Thanks for telling me! :) I'm surprised you caught that–I certainly wouldn't have. :D I edited the comments that had the errors. :)
Hannah B.
I am only 8 years old, so I read 1 chapter per day

Today I just started reading Job. I started the Bible reading through a year on January 1st. Though it looks as if I may get done in less than a year. :)
