I did; I read day 78: Exodus 28, 1 Samuel 29, Job 16, Psalm 78, Proverbs 16, Jeremiah 12, John 9, Acts 22, 1 Timothy 5, and Hebrews 13. (BTW, Bethany, I noticed that you accidentally put Genesis 26 instead of Exodus 26… just so you know. :D)

I'm going to finish my 10 up in just a little while…

@Danielle: Yes… sometimes it's a little hard for me to understand. But then there are some parts that are just amazing… (Prophecies of the Messiah and such) Good thing is, i'll read it over again, I always understand better the second time!

Nicolas - Thanks for catching that :P

What about the rest of y'all? :)

Sorry I haven't been here in a while. I did not do my reading yet today, but I did it yesterday. However…… I did not do it on Saturday. :( :( I was doing other things all that day, expecting to be able to have some time at night to read my Bible, but then we watched the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival Awards Ceremony until about 11:30. By the time I went to bed, I had completely forgotten about my Bible reading. :(

Did today's 10 chapters!

Lk 10, Ex 14, Hbrs 11 (Amazing chapter), Rev 21, Job 3, Ps 65, Pro 30, 1 Sam 14, Is 62, Acts 6

Oh yeah, and I started a in depth Bible study of 1st John today, so I read that book too… Don't you think I should get credit for that? J/K

Excited about today (Day 178) because I made it through the gospels for a second time! Just nine more days until I restart the Pentateuch! There's something so neat about knowing you will re-read each chapter of the Bible in 9 months (or sometimes substantially less) :) I really enjoy re-reading the Proverbs and Acts 1x/month - so much to learn from both of them. Also, even though I feel that with one chapter/day in the epistles sometimes seems like too cursory of a look at passages with such rich truths, it also makes for a good combination when I do a more in-depth study with one of the epistles, in addition to the reading plan.

John 21; Deut 25; 1 Cor 6; Rev 5; Eccl 12; Ps 28; Prv 23; 1 Chr 27; Dan 7; Ac 10

How about the rest of y'all? :)

I did my reading for today (though, it looks like I got confused on my Jeremiah passage, and read the same thing I read yesterday! Oops!) I read day 81: Exodus 31, 2 Samuel 1, Job 19, Psalm 81, Proverbs 19, Jeremiah 14 (will read 15 today), John 12, Acts 25, Romans 3 and 2 Timothy 2.

2 Corinthians 5:17

I read day 30 today, Mark 2, Genesis 30, Galatians 3, 1 Peter 3, Job 39, Psalm 30, Proverbs 30 ( almost done with this list!!!) judges 5, Jonah 2, and Romans 1 and 2. I must have missed Romans 1 earlier, so I read both 1 and 2. And sadly, I did not get my reading done yesterday, because I had the stomach flu :P oh well….. I'm feeling much better now, just sore and tired. :)

Sorry I haven't posted in so long! :) I have done my reading every day since the last time I posted. Today I read Day 82: Exodus 32, 2 Samuel 2, Job 20, Psalm 82, Proverbs 20, Jeremiah 16, John 14, Acts 26, Romans 4, and 2 Timothy 3. How about everyone else? :)

2 Corinthians 5:17

Hi Grace! Yes, the list I'm using is adjusted a little, so on the last list where some read Acts once a month, I'm reading Acts once, then Romans through twice, which comes out to 60 days. Does that make sense? :)

I just finished my 10 chapters Gen 11, 2chron 32, Ps 58, Prov 8, S of S 2, Amos 5, Mat 16, Acts 7, 2 Cor 4, & Rev 14.

The combination of Amos, and Revelation was really interesting.

I keep track of over 20 topics that affect all of life, and the record insights I learn from my Bible reading each day. It is really helpful to see how the Bible applies to everyday life.

@All: It seems as if everyone on here is using the Prof. Horner reading plan :D
I did my reading for today which was in Song of Solomon.

That's the plan I use it's awesome. I have been keeping up for the most part but I do my reading then go right to bed so I don't get to post on here.

Grace Mieczkowski

Hey Elanee,

Would you be able to post your ~20 topics? If not, that's fine - it just sounds like a really neat and practical idea!

And yes, I think the huge majority of everyone on this topic is using Professor Horner's plan - but, I hope nobody takes that as a reason not to join!

That's right…I am reading through the Bible in 90 days. It;s on average 12 chapters a day…except for the day that they had me read 40 Psalms including Psalm 119 :D

Emily H

40 Psalms????!!! How long did that take you? :) We're reading through the Bible too, but not really with any system. We're doing about 6 Chapters a day, from beginning to end. We just finished 1 Samuel. Does your plan go cover to cover?

Grace,

I'm so glad you all are on the 10 chapter a day plan. I have been on it for over a year now, and it just keeps getting better and better.

I realized that I needed to have a bit more substance and, learning to my daily reading and so that is why I started looking for what the Bible says about life topics. It has been really exciting and encouraging. Some days there are a lot of insights on certain topics.

Anyhow, the topics I have chosen are what the Bible says about:

  1. Life
  2. Death
  3. Why we're here
  4. Men
  5. Women
  6. Marriage
  7. Children
  8. Courtship/dating
  9. Business
  10. Family
  11. Friends
  12. Getting counsel
  13. The will of God
  14. The Holy Spirit
  15. Glory of God
  16. Wealth and Riches
  17. Prayer
  18. Clothing
  19. Promises
  20. Music

I'd love to hear any thoughts or other topics you think I could include!

Just finished my10 chapters, and this verse really stood out to me!

"For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich." 2 Corinthians 8:9

I've done part of today's reading and I'm going to finish up the rest after I go to bed!

@Grace: Neat! That's one of the reasons I really like Pr. Horner's program… It has you read a lot of material that we probably normally wouldn't read… but then I get so much out of it!

2 Corinthians 5:17

I did my reading for today, day 36. I read Mark 8, Genesis 36, Eph. 3, 2 Peter 3, Job 36, Psalm 36, Proverbs, 5, Judges 11, Micah 4, and Romans 8.

I especally liked this verse:
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. ~Romans 8:35, 37-39

Elanee - This is kind of an off topic question, I believe you have a brother named Evan, correct? Was he a photographer at Nationals?
