Very true…. I guess I should clarify, though, that I meant that this was my first time through the Pentateuch on this reading plan - I've read it quite a few times before….. it certainly does have so many amazing truths about God's faithfulness and holiness!

Rachel,

What an excellent passage to quote. I was just reviewing this one In my memory verse yesterday!

Yes, my brother Evan did do photography at Nationals, did you meet him there?

2 Corinthians 5:17

Elanee - I saw him, but I didn't actually meet him. During the Ray Comfort lunch talk, I saw him taking pictures and the only reason I knew his name was because the Davis' (Olivia Davis' family) were talking with him and they called him Evan :)

It really simple… you just get in bed and then read in bed… You should try it sometime! ;)

Ok that makes sense. We are really close to the Davis family, because we go to church with them:) they are such an encouragement to me!
Maybe you will get to meet Evan and I at Nationals this year:)

I totally understand now:) I must have been really tired, because I thought you were trying to say you were going to read your Bible after you went to sleep:) anyhow, I trust you had a good time finishing your reading:)

Today's reading for me was Gen 16, Ezra 1, Ps 62, Prov 13, SoS 7, Obadiah, Matt21, Acts 12, 2Cor 9, & Rev 19

Here's the verse that really encouraged me today!

"And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. " Matthew 21:22

I have prayed for so many years for my two brothers who strayed from the faith, and just this year God has been answering my prayers in miraculous ways. This verse gives me such hope for the rest of my unanswered prayers. God will answer, and He does care, sometimes we just have to patiently wait on Him.

Yes, it is often confusing when you are trying to remember what to read–and especially when you are trying to remember what you read! :) Anyway, I did my reading today, Day 94: Leviticus 4, 2 Samuel 14, Job 33, Psalm 94, Proverbs 1, Jeremiah 28, Matthew 5, Acts 10, Romans 16, and 1 Peter 2. :)

Here's a question for you Nicolas - How do we keep getting off from each other? When we first started, I was always 2 days off from you, now I'm three….I can't remember getting behind. Have you noticed that? :)

I don't know exactly how that happened. :} I haven't missed a day recently, nor have I read more than ten chapters, so I don't know what's going on. :)

Pretty much the only way I can keep track of what day I'm on, is by what I read in Psalms…it'll be a sad down when I finish that book!!

I know I got off a LOT when we had the stomach flu, but I caught up, back to 2 days behind you…

I hope to read tonight, or maybe I will catch up on the plane tomorrow. My mom and I are going to Virginia to be with my brother and his wife who are having their first baby. Prayers would be greatly appreciated:)

Today I read Gen 20, Ezra 2, Job 1, Ps 64, Prov 15, Jonah 2, Mat 25, Acts 14, 2Cor 13, & 1 Thes 1. As I read, I was flying from Portland to Denver, and saw the most amazing sunrise, over the mountains. These verses from Jonah really stood out to me this morning:) "I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O LORD my God. When my soul fainted within me I remembered the LORD: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple." Jonah 2: 6-7 What an awesome God we serve!

Today I read Gen 22, Ezra 5, Job 3, Psalm 68, Prov 18, Jonah 3, Matt 27, Acts 15, Gal 2, &2 Thes 3.
These verses really stood out to me:)
"And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice." Genesis 22:16-18

Read day 200 today!!

Matt 22; Gen 13; 2 Cor 12; 1 Th 5; Job 14; Ps 50; Prv 14; 2 Chr 20; Joel 3; Ac 4

This verse from 1 Thessalonians 5 really stuck out to me: "Do not quench the Spirit." So short, yet so powerful!

Also, Psalm 50 was really interesting. It's kind of in the vein of 1 Samuel 15:22 (to obey is better than sacrifice), but in this case, it's making the point of thanksgiving being more acceptable to God than burnt offering. The last verse of the Psalm summarizes well: "The one who offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice glorifies me; to one who orders his way rightly I will show the salvation of God!"

Also, one of the strengths of the Professor Horner plan is the "coincidental" relationships between chapters. Today I read 2 Chronicles 20, which details King Jehosaphat's battles, and then in Joel 3, "the Valley of Jehosaphat" is referenced a couple of times :)

With the fruits of the spirit, 1 Thes 5, and Job 6, there were a lot of insights today:) But for your sakes I will only share a few;)

"For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother. " Mark 3:35

"Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father; And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;" Gen 26:3-4

"Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." 1Thes 5:16-18

The chapters I read were: Gen26, Ezra 8, Job 6, Psalm 71, Prov 21, Micah 1, Mark 3, Acts 18, Gal5, 1Thes5,

I did my reading – Day 99. I'm excited to do Day 100 tomorrow! Anyways…does it seem like the reading is being easier, like, it doesn't take as long to read the chapters? It sure does for me! It used to take me about an hour, and now it's down to 30 minutes, and I'm still reading the same way :)
