Really?? They're making another movie??? I'm so excited!!!!! My older sister read somewhere that they weren't going to make any more movies for a while, since PC and VODT didn't turn out as well as they had expected/hoped. If a new movie comes out I AM GOING TO SEE IT AS SOON AS I CAN!!! (Narnia is my favorite book series AND movie series; can't you tell?) Do you know if Disney is helping with the movies again?

I also thought I'd put all my favorite Narnia things in one post here:

Movie: that's hard, but probably The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe

Book: Prince Caspian or The Horse and His Boy

Character (from movies): it depends on the movie…
LWW - Aslan
PC - Edmund
VODT - Reepichhep

Line (from movies): "So you're BRAVELY refusing to fight a swordsman half your age?" (Edmund, in Prince Caspian)

Andrew, listen. There is no way to prove Narnia does not exist, since the last time anyone got in was in 1949, and then the world of Narnia ended. And do you remember what happened when Pater, Susan, and Edmund didn't believe Lucy?

Sorry to triple post, but has anybody else wondered what was on the OTHER side of Narnia? Remember, Narnia was flat, not round like our world. There could have been an entirely different set of events happening on the other side of Narnia!
Also, where does the country of Telmar ends?? And Ettinsmoor? And Calormen? The east end of Narnia you find out about in TVODT, but all the maps of Narnia end just above Ettinsmoor, below Calormen, and to the right of Telmar on the western side of the mountains. You'd think that, in a world that's been populated for over 2500 years, SOMEbody would have found where it ended!
Just a few things to keep you awake at night.

Um Caspian BELIEVED Narnia was flat, we don't know if it was! We could say the same about people in the Middle Ages who thought that the world was flat! I mean, if say I went back in time, and said I came from a round world, they'd be like "A ROUND world? COOL! I wanna go see a round world! Ours is flat!" Yeah. And, worlds don't "end". People just find all the landmasses there are to discover. When North America was discovered, was that "the world's end"? No, just another part of the world. After all, we live on a BALL, and spheres don't have beginnings or ends. Just a few things to let you sleep peacefully at night.

The music, everything about Aslan, the actors (Lucy and Edmund especially), the battles, the talking animals, and the overall drama of it. There was almost no suspense or anything to make you want to find out what happened next in the old movies. The stone table scene was also improved immensely.

Don't freak out or anything, but I've never seen LOTR. WARNING: this next section may cause severe shock to several people who have been posting on this thread! Okay, here goes…I've never read the LOTR books, either.

Okay, this is an edit to one of my previous posts: I looked into it, and C.S. Lewis' stepson Douglas Gresham had asked that no one make any more movies until 7 years after VODT came out. So…by that time Will Poulter (Eustace) is going to be a lot older he should be for "The Silver Chair"…but if they can make an 18-year-old look like he's 14, they probably can handle it.

Nope. I have pics of my friends from church. Which reminds me, we only got pics of the guys in the "youth group", we haven't gotten one of all of us together yet…………

Yes, you are in it. It's from when Christian's friend from Africa came with his family to our church. :) So, it's got him and his brother in it, but it's good enough. :)

Wait! Wasn't D. Waters ducking in that pic? We need to do a new one, especially with her New Years Resolution to to better with pictures.

Yeah, I think she was (as always, right?). And I agree that we should take a new one… But when would we do it?

I dunno. Maybe next time I come to church? I could bring a camera. And Christ's Handmaiden won't have to sneak into this pic( like she did with the guy's part of the youth group pic!)!

About worlds "ending" (and Narnia in particular, since you never find out what shape it is), look up a map of Narnia. None of them go any farther south than Calormen, or any farther west than Telmar, or any farther north than Ettinsmoor and the giants. Hmm…maybe C.S. Lewis just ran out of ideas…I've had THAT happen to me before!

So…am I the ONLY person here with a Narnia background? sob I feel so alone!
RANDOM FACT ABOUT ME - - - I change my computer background about once a week; I like finding cool pictures (especially pictures from the Narnia movies, of course) and cropping them so I can make them into backgrounds. I have over a dozen favorites of Narnia alone that I switch around when I don't feel like making a new one.

Has anyone else listened to the commentaries on the "new" movies? I've listened to the ones on LWW, but not on PC (I want to, though!).
It's fun to listen to Georgie telling Skandar his ears stick out, or Andrew (the director) talking about how they blew a foghorn at Will to make him look like he woke up suddenly.

It’s kind of funny, but when you’ve watched a movie a dozen times (like me, heh-heh) you start to notice things that most people miss…like how I just realized that Professor Kirk might never have met Edmund before the last scene in LWW where the Pevensies fall out of the wardrobe. He probably thought Edmund was a nice boy who was always kind to his little sister and always listened to his big brother…
And how did Mr. Tumnus get Lucy’s hankie back so he could give it to her after the coronation? Remember, she gave it to him at his house. Then he tries to give it back at the lamppost, saying, “Keep it. You need it more than I do.” Then, before his arrest, Mr. Tumnus gave it to Mr. Beaver, who returned it to Lucy when the four Pevensies got into Narnia together. Then, after the coronation, Mr. Tumnus hands it to Lucy and says, “Here. You need it more than I do.”
Also, the line “You’ve got to be joking” is in all 3 movies.

Ahem! I just posted! I have successively completed reading the great book Chronicles of Narnia the third time over!

Congratulations.
Right now I'm feeling proud of myself because I have read all the Narnia books and watched all the Narnia movies at least twice each. Yeah, it was hard watching the BBC LWW after seeing the Disney version.
