Ha! I was up on the middle of the night (Okay, early morning) writing words for a song… then I went back to sleep and forgot exactly what I was trying to say!

I compose songs all the time, singing them or just playing around on my violin, viola, or piano; I just can never remember the songs long enough to write them down. :-(

We were up early in the morning too, talking, until like 2 am. Actually I was listening, more than talking, and found time to review my verses while I was listening:)

You should have written your song down when you thought of it:) I always forget things if I don't write them down, so you're not alone:) Oh well, maybe God will bring it back to you.

@For Those Who Write Music – The more music you write, does it come easier?

Definitely! When I started doing serious composition with my teacher almost two years ago, I was nowhere near the level I am at now with composition. He has definitely taught me a lot! I used to be able to think up good themes, but I had trouble finding ways to change them around. Experience is also a great factor.

You should record yourself playing/singing, and then transcribe them later when you listen to it.

Here's a song that I wrote just a few weeks ago. It's called Believe.

Thanks Jordan and Danielle! I'm glad I was able to write it at all. I have trouble finding words that rhyme, and I don't like writing things out.

@All: Today I just had inspiration for another song, called "The Battle Is Decided". I have not finished it yet, but I realized that it is the tenth song I have written (that I like, that is :P) and now I might have enough to make an album! :D The only problem is, I'm having trouble finishing some of the songs. So, I wondered if anyone was interested in helping me out! (Nathan??? Haha, you don't have to, but you're the first one that came to my mind. :P) I'm pretty good at writing music, but not as good at the words. Including this new one, I now have four unfinished songs that I'm having a bit of trouble writing verses for. So especially after the Bible Bee, if anyone would like to write some songs, let me know! :)

Hey, when it talks about God being your strength, song and the God of your salvation, you were refering to Isaiah 12:2, weren't you? That's one of my Nats memory verses!
