Thanks! God was so gracious to give me this encouragement in the middle of my trial. :)

As I'm sure we have all heard about what happen in Boston I found it appropriate to put this up here as a reminder to pray for the families and people who were affected.

Tomorrow and the next day 2 of my brothers and I have SAT testing. Please pray for us! :)

Yup! Except for that I have to take these vitamin horse pills and I can't even swallow small pills…. :-/

I hate "horse" pills! :( Maybe you can cut them in half or something

@All - Please pray for me and our family. I am a bit congested, and so my mom and Taylor are currently staying at my grandmother's house (conveniently half a mile away) to protect Taylor as much as possible. We are hoping it is just allergies, since nobody else has gotten it yet.

@Madi- uh that's gross. Just put the pills towards the back of your mouth and swallow them with water. If that doesn't work what I did when I first started swallowing was chew up a little but of food and then pop the pill in when I'm ready to swallow. :) cutting them into smaller parts if possible is a gr8 idea. :) hope this helps.

With regards to the recent bombings in Boston, I learned something pretty crazy… and very sad. One of the two people killed (thankfully the number of those killed was small, but the number of those injured was very large…) was actually a friend of a friend of a friend of COS. And I'm not kidding. Pretty small world… And one that is groaning in great pain as it waits for Christ to return…

Wow. I'm reminded more and more every day, when I hear of things like this, of how much this world needs Christ! He is the only answer to our problems!

Okay. :) Thanks. :D The Dr. mentioned that if I stick it on my tongue and then chew (but not actually chew anything…just move my teeth up and down) my brain would probably let me swallow it. I had never thought of that. I knew I couldn't swallow it because my brain was telling me I hadn't chewed, but I never thought of "fake chewing". I might try it, but I think it will taste awful if I leave it on my tongue that long. :P

SBG - that's awful! Do you know that friend of a friend of a friend?

Madi - tell us if "fake chewing" works! :) Would it work to grind them up and mix them in applesauce or something?

Now for an on topic off topic post. As long as every one is giving their advice on swallowing pills (what do the pills do anyhow?) I will give mine as well. Don't cut pills they leave hard edges and corners makeing it hard to swallow, opening capsules and putting them in applesause is gross, but i havn't done that for a while.
What i find works best is to put the pill in, and take a swallow of a smooth liquid, (thicker than water) like real milk. And swallow the whole thing at once. Dry things dont really help. You need something like a boiled egg, take a bite chew then pop in the pill and chew some more, just don't chew the pill, (your tongue will feel it) and then swallow the whole mass. The key is to get your mouth to 'think' you have just eaten something good…you have to have saliva and normally you need food for that.

@All – I'm giving you all one more prayer request before I leave….my little sister has the stomach flu, and it seems like I'm heading the same direction (my stomach doesn't feel quite normal…) if you could pray that I would recover quickly, because our family has a wedding to attend on Saturday. I guess if we're both still sick on Saturday, I'll be staying home to babysit :(

Well…I can attest that it's gross in applesauce…. Have to try something else. My problem is I get so nervous (have no idea why) that I just about can't swallow normal food. I am so strange. :P

Oh…poor things. Stomach flu is so not fun!! :( Praying for speedy recovery!

Madi- sorry about the "gross tasting" applesauce! :P :( It sometimes does that with certain pills. I've also used yogurt, and if it's like a flavored kind, I don't think will taste as bad. :)

I should have thought of that when I had to swallow my pill. I had to just chew my pill. It was SO gross tasting.

Carissa - oh NO!!! That is one sickness I HATE!!!! :P please tell her I'm thinking of her, praying for her, and that I hope she gets better soon! I'd ask you to give her a hug for me, but I don't want you to get closer to getting sick than you are ;-) Anyone else in your family sick?

I still have a pretty bad cough and a stuffy nose, although it's improved slightly today. I am going to start a Master Cleanse tomorrow, which is basically a juice fast. All I will be consuming is water and a spicy lemon drink. Hopefully it will unleash my immune system and I'll feel much better after a few days.

@Carissa- Oh, no! I know getting the stomach flu is very painful :( Praying that nobody else in your family gets it.

Well, Ellia has it but she is on the mend. Also it looks like Amy is coming down with it :(
