@All: Just on for a quick update on Bethany. She was throwing up her medicine during the night and won't be allowed to return home till she can keep her medicine down. We are praying that she will return home this morning. It was kind of rough last night because with throwing up and she basically can't open her mouth at all. Thank you all for your prayers.

Here is an email from my mom that she sent to our church.

Nausea is being a big problem. Throwing up is hard and traumatic. During the night we had to use morphine which could be put in Bethany's IV line, but Bethany has to be able to keep down liquid meds before she can go home. But everything upsets her stomach. This is troubling to Bethany.

Oh, no! I'm sorry to hear that - that must be really hard. Thank you for the update, Carissa. Continuing to pray for her!

Oh, how wonderful!!! Praise the Lord!! Tell her I have been praying for her and thinking about her throughout today and yesterday, and am continuing to pray for her as she heals. Oh, I'm SO glad to hear this!!!

How is she doing?????????

She is not very nauseous anymore! PTL! She has been resting and watching Amazing Grace. Her face and neck are REALLY swollen which makes her very uncomfortable.

I'm glad she's not nauseated anymore! That must have been sooooo awful! :( It's good she's resting….praying for her!!!! :)
Can you give her a message for me? Please tell her I'm praying for her and that I'm thinking of her!

Bethany Smiled today!! The Doctor said that the first week she would be in misery but she has not been in misery. There were some hard parts but she wasn't in misery to much. And the doctor said it would be a while before she smiled but she has been smiling today! PTL!

My older brother, younger sister, and I have a piano recital tonight. Some of us ahem aren't quite ready for it yet… :-/ Pray that we will do our best and leave the results up to God! Maybe I'll even get someone to video my piece…who knows, one week of practice could make for a comical performance. :P

Hey guys and gals. I'm not sure I'm doing this right but here it goes. Please pray for the victims of the Mother's Day parade shooting down in New Orleans. Please pray for the U.S. government as well. There are lots of anti-gun bills out there right now and we need them to make the right choices. Sorry if that seems kinda cold and calculating, but we need to thing long term here too.
