Oooooh…that is cool! That is awesome! Ooh…that is so cool!

Say, what do you think about Georgie vs. Skandar in VODT? Georgie seems to have stopped believing in Narnia! She asts a lot like Susan is supposed to be, all bossy and everything. Skandar, on the other hand, did a great job acting younger than he was. I think he's the only one of the 6 main "child" actors/actresses in the movies (with the possible exception of Will Poulter) who still believes in Narnia.

Georgie - Lucy
Skandar - Edmund
Will P. - Eustace

All right. TTYL! Bye!

My sister was the one who made the comment about people acting less than their age, and then she'd looked really hard at me. Of course I replied that Edmund is an awesome character and is my favorite (I almost wrote "favourite" :-P) of the four Pevensies in the movies and even in some of the books.

Let's "write" a Narnian "How To Defeat A…" handbook.

I'll give a few examples.

How To Defeat a Telmarine Guard

  1. Drop your flashlight (aka electric torch). Wait for him to blind himself with it, then jump down and land on top of him.
  2. Have an interesting swordfight.
  3. Hit him in the face with your face because both your hands are busy with your sword.
  4. Drop your sword and duck his next blow.
  5. Grope about for your sword and grab the first thing that comes within your reach.
  6. Hit the Telmarine over the head with it.
  7. Hit him over the head with it again, and watch him bash his head on the tower's wall (I don't know what it's called; any help would be appreciated!)
  8. Look down at the weapon in your hand and realize you just killed someone with a FLASHLIGHT!!!

How To Defeat a White Witch

  1. Send your little brother off to destroy her wand beforehand.
  2. Get angry at her because it looks like she just killed him with it.
  3. Stab a minotaur and then run at her, looking epic.
  4. Start fighting her.
  5. Dodge or block every blow she makes.
  6. Fall down…and get back up quick before she unfreezes from that awkward and random evil position she's in.
  7. Keep dodging her blows, especially the ones where she's aiming her two swords at your neck.
  8. Realize Aslan just showed up and smile at him, forgetting for the moment that you're in the middle of a life-or-death swordfight.
  9. Duck.
  10. Keep dodging and blocking her blows.
  11. Fall down, and scream in agony because her sword actually made it through your chain mail in that shot.
  12. Let her rip your shield out of your hand (thank goodness that sword isn't stuck in your arm any more!)
  13. Hope Aslan hurries up, then let him do the rest.

How To Defeat a Whole Army of Telmarines

  1. Go into the woods and randomly find Aslan.
  2. Let your brothers and your sister chase the bad guys onto one side of a bridge.
  3. Walk up to the other side of the bridge and calmly, sweetly, draw your little 3-inch dagger.
  4. Have Aslan show up suddenly from somewhere behind you and roar.
  5. Watch in interest as the river takes on the form of a giant and eats the bridge, and the bad guys surrender.

Feel free to rewrite any or all of those. I just wrote them as examples.
A few of the many other options are:
A black minotaur
A sea serpent (book or movie)
A White Witch…again!
An Emerald Witch (from SC)
A White Witch…AGAIN!
An evil usurper
A cocky Calormene prince
A green mist
…and more!

I noticed a small inconsistency between the books and the movies today. Forget the big ones; the small ones are more fun!

“Everything from the lamppost all the way to castle Cair Paravel on the Eastern Ocean…is Narnia.” This is true, but Mr. Tumnus made it sound as if that were all of Narnia. But the Western Mountains and Cauldron Pool are the actual Western border of Narnia, and they’re a good step away to the west of Lantern Waste. And, if you want to get picky, the Lone Islands are also Narnia’s, and they’re further east than the Cair.
I can't believe I didn't notice that until today, though!

Okay, my time's up early today. TTYAL! (talk to you all later)

Why, thank you. LOL
I think it's because Narnia feels like a second home to me. I started reading them when I was seven, and have read the entire series once a year or more since then. (I just read all 7 books in the past two weeks; it's actually the first time I've read all of them in quick succession.)

Wwwoooww. :) lol that's awesome. :) I never really cared to read them but I loved listening to the unabridged audio tapes when I was little. :)

@Abi - I never noticed that. Wow. :) Have you seen the book "Cameras in Narnia"? I have it and it's really informative…if you like behind the scenes…which I LOVE!!! I always have to know what's going on behind the scenes. When we watched The Lost Medallion: The Adventures of Billy Stone, I already knew how they did the zipline and stuff like that. :) But, if you watch the bts BEFORE you watch the actual movie, it kind of ruins the suspense. Oh well, I learned my lesson. I have to go - storm's coming…gotta get off before I get eletrocuted. :) lol

Sorry! I've been on vacation for a week…

I have read Cameras in Narnia; we borrowed it from a friend and I loved it! I love behind the scenes stuff because I want to make movies when I grow up.

The "Check the Gate" video was really funny. But the funniest Narnia behind-the-scenes for me was Skandar's Blonde Cam. I couldn't help laughing out loud and normally I can control myself and laugh silently, but with that one I couldn't.

:-)
Who's your favorite of the 4 Pevensies? I don't remember if I asked this question already. (I guess Eustace can also be an option, but I can't remember ever meeting anyone who liked him best!)

D31c974fe43f1230dbcb183971bfbdec?s=128&d=mm

Emily H

I know!! Me too!! I like the whole dragon thing in the movie better than the book…what about you?

1cb9307f95c5c6e460ff5a507424c920?s=128&d=mm

Random Narnian Warrior (Tarva/Abi)

I do, too, because he gets to be a dragon for longer (well, maybe not; he was a dragon for a week in the book and for an unknown length in the movie) and gets to fly around a lot more. And he gets to help fight the sea serpent without breaking Caspian's second-best sword!
I thought it was funny that he still had blue eyes as a dragon.

D31c974fe43f1230dbcb183971bfbdec?s=128&d=mm

Emily H

Yes! Well, in the book he just stayed on that one island, and that wasn't nearly as interesting:P Didn't it say that the boat was too small to hold him and he couldn't fly that far!? Anyway, yeah, it was nice he didn't break Caspian's second-best sword in the video!! lol

D31c974fe43f1230dbcb183971bfbdec?s=128&d=mm

Emily H

yeah, I don't remember him ever using a sword…well, he held one of the swords at the end trying to put it with the others…but that wasn't really "using" a sword.

D31c974fe43f1230dbcb183971bfbdec?s=128&d=mm

Emily H

lol, yeah:) That was so weird when the cut part of it off, and it just turned back into mist.

D31c974fe43f1230dbcb183971bfbdec?s=128&d=mm

Emily H

Yeah:) I wonder what exactly he was thinking right then…:P That would be kind of a neat wallpaper!

D31c974fe43f1230dbcb183971bfbdec?s=128&d=mm

Emily H

Really!?? that's crazy. No, I don't have a link…:( that was like one of the best parts in the whole movie!!

Ikr? It was my favorite scene!
I've not been making working on wallpapers for a couple weeks because I've been doing more avatars lately: I made 3 of Lucy, 3 of Edmund, 2 of Susan, and 2 of Peter last week.

I know! Probably mine too (I'd have to watch it again…there were a couple other scenes I really liked:)

That's really cool!
