I love chess!! Have any of you ever played in any real competitions? Like where you are in real life not just on the computer.

I've played at our homeschool chess club, but other than that and games between friends and siblings nothing. I would like to be in a real tournament.

No, I'm not on chess.com, I guess I should be shouldn't I? I've also played at our homeschool tournament, and last year, I got third place. I was also able to play at the Regional A.C.E. Convention, and since I placed, I was able to play at the International A.C.E. convention. I'm afraid I didn't get to play very much there, because I lost to the guy who got 8th place.

You mean A.C.E. the helpful place?? Sorry I'm in a goofy mood. :P :) what does A.C.E stand for??

Accelerated Christian Education. It's a curriculum that is mostly used in Christian schools, but we've used some of their paces, and there really good, like most homeschoolers, we use a huge variety of curriculums, but A.C.E. is personally my favorite, it can be hard, but I guess that just means I'm learning stuff. I think the best thing about it is you get to go to their conventions, where as their motto goes, it is "Where One week will last a life time" It's awesome being at the International convention, because there are people there from all over the world, it's really neat getting to gether with all these fellow believers, and hearing all the preaching, and the competition, and everything!

It is awesome!!!! At the international convention, there are normally several thousand people. And the best thing about it, is the atmosphere, I mean being with that many fellow believers, is so neat. And the preaching, is so good!
