2013 Locals!!!

I was feeling pretty confident until I started the written test - it was sooo hard! :(

Ditto!!!! I was so confident and ready to take on anything…..except for the test they gave me :P!

Yeah, I felt confident too. Then the written test drained some of that away. :(

yeah…..but the oral was easy so that must have helped you! I did for me…well of course there is the fact that that meant I was done :P!

Hey guys! Wow! This topic opened just three hours ago and it's already up to 11 pages! Anyway, I came in 5th after I went through a four-round tie breaker with Ben Watt. At the end we still didn't have a winner, so it came down to who had the higher written score. Ben had a higher score so he came in fourth. I hope I make it to Nationals even though I came in 5th! BTW, I haven't been able to go through all the posts yet, but did anyone have trouble with Greek words that weren't in the Sword Study at all?

We tested in Thayne, WY, today, and I got fourth! There were five Jrs. And six Primaries. All of the other juniors were older than I am, except for one, so I can see why I got fourth! I got to Q. 167 and I got through all of my verses in less than 8 minutes with only 2 mistakes (that I caught). I had sooo much fun!!!!!!!

The Greek words were kinda tough, but I managed to get through most of them all right!

I couldn't believe how difficult the test was... I went into it pretty confident, but by the 30th question or so, I was far enough behind that I was wondering if I'd even finish! Like, half of the questions merely referenced a chapter in 1 John, so I had to spend time thinking through the entire in my head. Which I didn't have the time to do! It was so frustrating! But, I guess, I ended up doing a pretty decent job.

@Bethany - Thanks. I have a feeling I might not have placed first if Sarah Johnston had been able to study more this year, though. And in regards to me beating you - we'll see, we'll see. :)

Yes, I thought it was super, super, super hard….I can't stress that more! Yes, I'm sure I missed almost all the Greek word questions. And, I was slightly disappointed they didn't across really any cross-reference questions, because I worked so hard on that!

Hw many kids were competing in everybody's BB??? At the one we tested at, there were only 11. No Seniors!!!!

Dani got 1st and I got 4th.

On ours we had several that weren't in the Sword Study. Everyone was talking about it from the Seniors to the Juniors. I'm not sure about the Primaries since there was only five of them.

Our bee had more than 40! I was happy about that. Also that there were 13 Seniors - in previous years, 8 has been the record.

At our bee there were 14 seniors and juniors, I don't know how many primaries, but at least 6-7.

No it was like he or ho, but it wasn't ha. I had all the Greek words from the Sword Study memorized, and I thought I was ready for all the Greek word questions.
