I just got two really great books on Friday from the Creation Museum: Sermons of Robert Murray M'Cheyne by obviously, Robert Murray M'Cheyne :); and Communion With God by John Owen.
Oh, and two weeks ago or so, I got a book called The Passion of Jesus Christ – 50 Reasons Why Jesus Came to Die by John Piper. I've started two of them, and I already think they are so good!
Have any of you heard of/read any of these?

I have heard of the one by Robert M'Cheyne and John Piper but not the one by John Owen. Thank you for sharing those titles with me. I will definitely look into them.

The book "The Boy Colonel: A Soldier Without a Name" is a very intense book!!!!

I've never read it but I've listened to it! I SO liked it!!

My favorite books are Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn. They are really funny, but also give insight into the true motives, thoughts, and emotions of all people, but especially young men. I would recommend them to anyone.

I've been reading some of John Piper's book and I really like those. And pretty much anything Douglas Bond has written is a favorite for me!! :)

I know! I really want to read it again to see what I'd think of it as being older cause I remember loving it when I was like 10. :)

I haven't read a book titled "God's Smuggler", but I have read The Narrow Road, which is that book, plus there are short articles about persecuted Christians in other countries interspersed throughout the book. I really like it, too!

God's Smuggler is so cool! (We have 2 copies of that, and 2 copies of The Hiding Place; both are terrific books, so we lend them out a lot!)

I hate reading and watching movie like that…where all the death and destruction are done to the righteous people. I know it's real life, but still I get so depressed whenever I hear stories like that.

Yes, it is. But it always encourages me when I hear of other believers taking a stand for the Lord. I've never watched the movie, and don't think I'd like to.

I have watched the "Hiding Place". Those films can be depressing but it is also encouraging seeing how even through trials like that God will still be with us! And yes, in real life death and destruction and persecution come to the righteous people!
