Sorry, I've always had trouble putting my thoughts into words, and I'm having trouble with that now. I don't know how to say it any better.

Well, I have the same problem. But do you think that we should do as little of what the world does as possible? If so, why stop at songs like that? Why not get rid of the Internet and all movies?

Okay…I'll try to think but it's going to be useless because we aren't going to be able to convince Sam!
Oh yeah…I forgot you told him that…

All things should be done in moderation! If all we can think about is songs, movies, internet, video games, etc… Then we are spending way to much time on it! And we are told to do the things pleasing to the Lord and we need to examine everything we do, watch or listen to is pleasing to the Lord. If it's not then we need to get rid of it!

picks up a shovel and hands it to Sam Here you go! :)

EDIT: Also, our lifestyle needs to be showing Christ to the world…if it doesn't we're doing something wrong.

Hey, I'm not trying to convince Sam of anything. Actually, I'm not really trying to convince anybody. I just think that we shouldn't be adamantly against something just because the world likes it.

Okay. But explain to me how that Lindsey Stirling song is not pleasing to the Lord. It doesn't have any lyrics, so how can it be displeasing to Him?

You're right, but I just realized he answered a question for me. He said just because an unbeliever likes a song why can't he like it either. Well it proves something that I was thinking, it's all in opinion. As long as the song is morally right it doesn't matter what type it is, if you like it it's sugar to you, while a song with a style that you don't like can be sugar for someone else. I hope this makes sense cause I'm still having trouble.

I wasn't saying that it was displeasing to the Lord I just said we need to examine what we listen, watch, and do and make sure that it is pleasing to the Lord.

@Ian–That makes perfect sense! And I agree! :)

@Carissa–Okay, I thought you were referring to that song in particular. I completely agree that we should make sure that everything we do pleases God. :)

No, I wasn't referring to that song in particular…though my personal opinion of that song is that I do NOT like it!

Paul said as much, I think it was Romans, when he was talking about the eating of meats offered to idols. For the weaker brother, it would be sin, as it violates his conscience, but for the stronger, even though he can, it would be sin for him to do it in front of the weaker brother, or to talk down on the weaker brother for not being as strong as him. That's basically what you're trying to say, right?

Okay, as long as you aren't saying it's wrong, but that it's just your opinion. :) There are a lot of people who won't admit that.

Yes, it was. And I was berating myself for not being sure if it was chapter 12 or 15.

Uhhhhhhhhhhh…………that's in Romans 14

You're not the only one who has trouble expressing their feelings over the Interwebs. Which is why if I have to have a serious talk with someone, I talk to them in person. Let's just say that I agreed with you.

It's weird, it's almost the exact opposite with me. I cannot articulate when talking to someone in person–I do much better over the Internet for some reason. :P

I can't express myself correctly when talking face to face with people. It's so much easier expressing myself when I write it out.

I actually do better at typing, but if someone's waiting for me to respond within like five minutes, I have trouble and I can't type the words correctly.
