We have a gas stove, and once I was making pancakes or something, and some parchment paper was next to the flame. I turned around, and the next thing I knew, it was on fire! I was pretty careful after that!
biblebee
Okay…cause how you said it you made it sound like you weren't.
Christine Daaé (Dani the Older)
Sorry smiles sheepishly I wasn't thinking about that… Should I delete the post?
biblebee
It's okay. I don't know if you have to delete it. He'll probably get on and read it and if he wants it deleted he'll tell you.
Andrew
Right, I think.
Dani, ty.
Congratulations on memorizing your 100th verse.
SavedByGrace
I'm not sure whether to be proud or ashamed of this, but about two-thirds of all that I eat goes through the microwave before it gets to me. :P
2 Corinthians 5:17
Oh, poor unhealthy you… JK! ;-)
SavedByGrace
Haha, you really don't need to be just kidding. Besides the daily exercise I've finally been getting back into, I live a pretty unhealthy lifestyle–unhealthy food, sitting in an office all day, staring at a screen… Yeah, I'm gonna die before I'm 30, I'm sure. ;P JK
biblebee
We use our microwave too!
SavedByGrace
Yes!! Now I don't feel alone! :D
biblebee
LOL :)
Dani(elle)
We use our microwave too!
So do we. :)
SavedByGrace
breathes a sigh of relief So we're not all health nuts! ;) JK
Sarah
Don't do that! We'll all die too, because we'll miss you too much!
Dani(elle)

SavedByGrace
Aw, how sweet. ;P
SavedByGrace
Hey, I am now! Every day 'cept Friday, so I'm not too tired for soccer on Saturday. :)
2 Corinthians 5:17
I literally laughed out loud as I read that comment- don't die! :)
biblebee
Hey, I am now!
So am I ;-)
SavedByGrace
I'll do my best not to. ;)
Dani(elle)

Do you have any idea how big a moose liver is?
Well, you asked, I weighed it today; 16 pound moose liver, and the heart was about 5 pounds.
Andrew
This should be moved over to the 'Animals We Have Butchered' thread.

I use my microwave too! Also, my mom told me that putting food in the microwave actually adds nutrients to the food. I'll have to ask her for more information, but she's kinda a health freak too. :)
2 Corinthians 5:17
I don't believe that! :o
Ian R.2
Like I said I'll have to ask her some more questions, but she's researched, and researched, and done research on the research on this kinda stuff. :)
BibleBeeJunior14 (~*Lady Ariana*~)
@Ian - are you serious?
BREAKING NEWS! It's...ah...nobody important. nevermind.
Of course he is…my mom's a health freak too and she says the same thing. She also says saturated fats and sugar are REALLY good for you too.
BibleBeeJunior14 (~*Lady Ariana*~)
Oh…@You - everytime I see your username I think I posted! :)
BREAKING NEWS! It's...ah...nobody important. nevermind.
that's the pint!
BREAKING NEWS! It's...ah...nobody important. nevermind.
It's used that way in Huckleberry Finn
Ian R.2
Okay my mom does not say saturated fats are really good for you. She says we shouldn't be scared of them; because they're not as bad as people say they are. She also doesn't say that sugars are really good for you either. In fact she says that besides the taste there is no redeeming value of sugar. I also realized that I misunderstood her on the microwave thing. She says it doesn't add nutrients but preserves them.
Sarah
It preserves nutrients? Really? Last time I checked, any kind of cooking removes nutrients. Why should microwaves be an exception?
BREAKING NEWS! It's...ah...nobody important. nevermind.
I do realize I was kidding right?
SavedByGrace
I'm sure you realized that, but apparently some of us did not. :P
BibleBeeJunior14 (~*Lady Ariana*~)
I'm sure you realized that, but apparently some of us did not. :P
Yup and one of those "us"'s was me.
BREAKING NEWS! It's...ah...nobody important. nevermind.

This should be moved over to the 'Animals We Have Butchered' thread.
sighs LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FTR, I usually don't use the microwave. And I'm in the "you shouldn't use it" camp :P
MilesChristiSum
Is there a " Animals we have butchered " thread?
Besides the value of taste in sugar, it also has a high energy density, (the reason kids get hyper off of it), and sucrose (table sugar) is what your brain runs on, it can't use the fat's and other forms of energy, that the rest of the body uses, so when the body is low on stored pre-converted energy, it saves the sugars for the brain, and burns the fats. Your brain is also a big Oxygen user, consuming about a third of the oxygen that the body uses.
(disclaimer; this is mostly from what I have learned in Anatomy, I may have gotten some of this wrong, so if you have researched it you can correct me)
Ian R.2
If you overcook something it will remove nutrients.
MilesChristiSum
I made a salmon on our grill for supper yesterday, and when I took it out, it was snowing. Then I put in a frying pan full of batter that turned out to be a reasonably good sourdough corn-millet-bread.
2 Corinthians 5:17
It was snowing?? Where do you live?!
Andrew
It was snowing?? Where do you live?!
You are supposed to say you're joking, or you will confuse the inhabitants of Memverse something dreadful.
2 Corinthians 5:17
But I wasn't joking. You live in Alaska, right? :)
