- Do not roll any window down without the driver's permission.
Margaret Eddy
- Do not observe the sunset, moon, mountains, or any other scenery loudly or abruptly. Break the fact that you can see Orion gently to the driver.
Margaret Eddy
- Do not propose in the car (especially to the driver, but preferably not at all).
Margaret Eddy
- Do not fiddle with the door handle.
Margaret Eddy
- Do not throw things up in the air and catch them while I am driving.
Margaret Eddy
- Keep your seatbelt on while the car's engine is still running.
Margaret Eddy
- When we pass big white vans do not ask the driver if we know them; the driver is watching the road and the only interest she takes in the big white van is that they are driving properly and doing nothing suddenly or unpredictably.
Rose Tyler
is very amused
Margaret Eddy
About what?
Rose Tyler
All your (very helpful) tips!
Margaret Eddy
Have any ideas? I have to get to 95.
Rose Tyler
Oi! I think they are all taken! xP
Margaret Eddy
- No vomiting or threatening vomiting in the car.
Rose Tyler
Laughs out loud
Margaret Eddy
I just wanted you to see that they were not all taken.
Margaret Eddy
- No snoring in the car. Falling asleep (as long as you are not the driver) is even recommended, but if you are inclined toward snoring you had best stay awake. The driver may take drastic measures towards getting you to wake up (like stopping suddenly or running over a little dog).

50. No vomiting or threatening vomiting in the car.
YES. And no noises like you might throw up either.
Jarrett
Hi
Margaret Eddy
Hello. Have any ideas to add?
Jarrett
Ideas about what?
Margaret Eddy
Rules. If you were driving a car what rules would you want the passengers to observe?
Jarrett
Don't be a backseat driver
Margaret Eddy
In fact, it would be best if they didn't make any noises at all.
Margaret Eddy
Yes. We communicated that in several forms.
Sarah
- No using electronic devices in the car while it's dark out.
- No complaining, especially if your request requires the driver to pull over.
- No telling jokes to anyone else in the car.
Margaret Eddy
- No fluids that do not have lids in the car.
Sarah
- No bringing animals into the car.
Jarrett
No food that smells…
Margaret Eddy
Good. Especially the electronic device one.
Margaret Eddy
No food.
Sarah
Unfortunately, I do have to say that I've broken that rule a few times…
- No memorizing Bible verses out loud in the car. The driver will get annoyed very quickly. (And so will everyone else in the car!)
Margaret Eddy
- Never drop round objects that could roll under the gas or break pedal.
Margaret Eddy
- Do not tell the same story over and over again. It gets old quickly.
Sarah
- No flashlights in the car.
Rose Tyler
This is farewell! Goodnight Sarah, Yanko, and My Queen.
Sarah
Goodnight Lizzy!
Margaret Eddy
Isn't a ball a round object?
Margaret Eddy
Farewell Sir Elizabeth.
Sarah
Well, yes, but you only said round objects that roll under the gas or brake pedals. I'm talking about any round object, regardless of its function.
Jarrett
Bye
Margaret Eddy
47. Do not throw things up in the air and catch them while I am driving.
Margaret Eddy
Does that cover it?
Sarah
Yeah, I guess it does.
Margaret Eddy
I have some other ones that I will have to go back and change too… I'm thinking I shouldn't have started with such a broad rule as "no yelling".
Sarah
The real number 61: No receiving injuries while in the car.
Margaret Eddy
Good one.
Margaret Eddy
- No giving or causing injuries in the car.
Margaret Eddy
I have to leave now. I guess I will try to make it to 95 tomorrow.
Sarah
- No arguing with your siblings in the car.
Sarah
Bye!
