Bible Quiz Questions

Shem, Ham, and Japheth, of course. :)
Emily H
No, that would be Spam, Ham and Leg-of-Lamb :P :P
(at the Creation Museum there's this sort of quiz on Noah, and that's one of the options for the names of his sons :P)
SavedByGrace
That's funny, I've seen that before! I wondered where I knew those names from. :P
Emily H
Lol! :)
Emily H
What were the names of Jacob's children?
(If you can put them in order of oldest to youngest and tell me who their mother was you will be awarded a high5)
Random Narnian Warrior (Tarva/Abi)
Reuben Simeon Levi Judah (Leah) Dan Naphtali (Bilhah) Gad Asher (Zilpah) Issachar Zebulun (Leah) Joseph Benjamin (Rachel)
Did I miss any?
Emily H
If anyone knew it, I knew it would be you. LOL. But I said children not sons…
Random Narnian Warrior (Tarva/Abi)
LOL And there were a couple of daughters here and there…we only had to memorize the sons, though. I'd need my Bible for the others.
Emily H
Lol! After watching Joseph, I really, really wanted to memorize all his brothers. And that took…what? Five seconds? :P So I put them all in order and who was their mother but that wasn't challenging, so I memorized the lineage Adam to Joseph. I don't know if I can still say it though…
Oh, but you can still have a high5 :P =D
Random Narnian Warrior (Tarva/Abi)
Well, when Amri is seating the brothers they're in order. That's part of what helps me remember them. :-D
Oh, thank you! high5 :-D
Emily H
I know! Except he goes way too fast after Levi :P
You're welcome! :P
Random Narnian Warrior (Tarva/Abi)
I know, he's like, "Reuben…Simeon…Levi…then Judah-Dan-Naphtali-Gad-Asher-Issachar-Zebulun…and…Benjamin." LOL
Emily H
I KNOW!!!! It's a good thing they were in order or else they'd have a hard time remembering who was sitting next to who :P
Random Narnian Warrior (Tarva/Abi)
Oh, yeah! :-)

Hey, everyone! I just published three Bible quizzes on my website, Bible Bookworm. (An easy, medium, and hard.) I'm curious to see what you all think - and how well you do!
Here's the link:

easy: 10 of 10
Medium 14 of 15 (I should have known the Solomon one! arg…)
Hard: 16 of 20
Nice quizzes. I found some of the questions on the hard quiz easier than I was expecting, but that was mostly because they were Bible bee verses, so…
InSoloChristo
Thanks, and good job!!
Sometime I plan on making an "impossible" quiz, and probably others…
Jedidiah Diligence Breckinridge III
fun! I'd love to take an impossible quiz.
Now I've got to go find some obscure bible facts to revive this thread.

What are the Hebrew names of Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego?
What is Jonah's father's name?
Where is Jonah from?
What happened to Adoni-Bezek?
Emily H
- Hannaniah Mishel and Azariah (I know I didn't spell those right)
- Ammati
- Gath-Hepher (or something like that)
- ?
Actually, I think I spelled all of that wrong.
SavedByGrace
Well, you did a lot better than I would have. :P I really should know more of this stuff…
Jedidiah Diligence Breckinridge III
Awesome Emily. :) The last one was hard. I worded it a bit differently. He was the guy that got his thumbs and big toes cut off.
lets see…
How many people from the Bible can you name who were in prison? (stole this one from the sermon this morning.)
Name all the prison epistles (not just Paul's…)
Name the bowl judgments.
Name the Seven Churches from Revelation
What are the gates of New Jerusalem named for?
What are the foundation stones of New Jerusalem named for?
And what are the precious stones the foundations are made of?
I think some of these (especially the Revelation ones) are really hard, so have fun! (I did not know all of them before looking them up.)
Emily H
(whispers I only knew the Jonah ones from watching a play done about Jonah…:)
@Sarah, yeah, I looked up that guy in the last one and I remembered the story but I didn't know the guy by his name, so it wouldn't have mattered how you worded it ;)
Emily H
-
Uhh…probably not very many. :P There's Joseph and the cup bearer and the baker, :P his 10 brothers. Then I think there were a couple of spies…maybe. Samson. Jesus, Barbabas, John the Baptist, Peter, John, James, Paul, Silas. I'll probably think of others as soon as I turn the computer off :P
-
Ephesus, Philadelphia, Laodicea, Pergamos, Sardis, Thyatira…I forgot the other one. :-/
I don't know any of the other ones.
Emily H
You all really should ask more questions… :P
Which Gospel(s) tell about the conversion of the thief on the cross?
Which Gospel(s) have Christ's genealogy in them?
Which is the shortest Gospel?
Which is the longest Gospel?
(yeah, we recently finished reading the Gospels…:)
Jedidiah Diligence Breckinridge III
- Matthew and Luke
- Mark
- I'm not positive…Luke? I know matthew has the most chapters, but I seem to remember that Luke has more words.
I asked a bunch of questions! No one answered them.
Margaret Eddy
I think Luke does… I haven't read the others recently enough…
Matthew and… Luke?
Mark?
Luke?
EDIT: I promise that I didn't read any of Sarah's answers before posting. We posted like 15 seconds apart or something…
Margaret Eddy
Where the gates names for the disciples, or was that something else?
Margaret Eddy
Which book of the Bible states that there is no taste in the white of an egg?

Hmmm…Luke?

Uh…john? IDK.
Emily H
Which disciple(s) martyrdoms are recorded in the Bible?
Margaret Eddy
James'.
Margaret Eddy
Peter's was predicted…
Emily H
Yep, yep! high5 (if you don't mind those)
Margaret Eddy
Do you mean "Apostles" (because "Disciples" is pretty broad)?
Margaret Eddy
I don't mind high 5s as long as my hands aren't sweaty like at the Bible Bee…
Emily H
You're right, I do mean apostles! Sorry about that!
Emily H
Okay. I know what you mean!! Got to go. Bye!
Margaret Eddy
I don't think I could remember ALL the disciples.
Margaret Eddy
Goodbye.
Emily H
Me either:):)
(bye for real now)

What were the names of Naomi's sons and husband?
Where did they live (before they moved)?
Why did they move?
In what time frame did this story occur (i.e. during the joint kingdom, divided kingdom etc)?
Who were Boaz's mother and father?
Jedidiah Diligence Breckinridge III
The sons were Malon and chilion (no idea how they're spelled, though…)
Not sure what this question means. Before they moved to Moab?
They moved because of a famine
During the time of the judges
Salmon and Rahab
Emily H
Yeah, before they moved to Moab, sorry about that. :)
Jedidiah Diligence Breckinridge III
Yeah, before they moved to Moab, sorry about that. :)
how specific are you looking for? "Somewhere in the Middle East" or a city name?
I'm pretty sure all the other answers are right, but I would like to know how Malon and Chilion are spelled.
Emily H
Mahlon and Chilion. And yes, good job! It's a city name…
Jedidiah Diligence Breckinridge III
Mahlon and Chilion. And yes, good job! It's a city name...
ah, the "h". I knew I was missing something. I will ponder on the city name, although it is not coming to mind at the moment.
