I saw a huge Deadpool piggy bank in a store when we were at Hilton Head… but we didn't buy it. Sorry, man.

Haha, that's really funny!

A few weeks ago, I was reading the Iliad for school, and I saw the word "Deadlock"; and at first I thought it said "Deadpool" and I was wondering why Deadpool was in the Iliad. But then I took a closer look, and it cleared everything up. :-)

Mr. Cassidy: You might enjoy the book series Hundred Cupboards by Nathan D. Wilson. It's pretty "awesome" and kind of weird, and although there is a little wine, I think you'd like it. :) The first book is the weirdest.

There is wine inside the book?!

AAAH!

What strange sorcery is this?

There is wine _inside_ the book?! *AAAH!* What strange sorcery is this?

I think it be the kind that makes you woefully dizzy if you partake.

not sure, but there are many tips of false books (aka books with secrete compartments) that you could put wine in. I think that's what they'er talking about.

AARGH!!!
I knew you'd say something like that. I was just trying to keep from offending your conscience… Oh well. :)
(By the way, if you don't like magic in literature, you'll hate the books.)
In the second book of the three, somebody (in the story) sips wine (without drunkenness).
No, there are no secret compartments (not secrete ones either) And certainly not in the tip of the book. What's the tip of a book anyways? The corner? ;)

I doubt any content of that sort in a christian(?) book could offend me….though I'm not allowed to watch narnia or LOTR because of the witchcraft/magic.

…its funny, I've seen Saving Private Ryan but not Cinderella!

I'm glad it wouldn't offend you.
The book is Christian in worldview, though that would be easily ignored by someone who wasn't familiar with the author. But if you aren't allowed to watch Narnia and LOTR, you wouldn't want to read this. (Unless you're allowed to read them only.)
Yeah, our standards can lead to puzzling practice. Sometimes, that indicates it's a good time to re-evaluate, sometimes it just tests our faithfulness. :)
