I could always delete it. It wasn't the best poem ever, anyway. But remember, it is to my advantage if you all die off.

But it displeased the Bible Bee contestants exceedingly and we became angry. Then we said, "Was this not what we said while we were still in the written? For we know that you are late people, quick to promise and slow to announce qualifiers and abundant in changes. Therefore now, oh Bible Bee Headquarters, please take our lives from us for it is better for us to die than to live."
Then Bible Bee Headquarters said, "Is it right for you to be angry?"
Then the Bible Bee contestants went out of their Bible Bees and sat on the East side of their computers. There they built themselves a forum and stayed in it till they might see what would become of the Bible Bee Headquarters. And it happened that the Bible Bee prepared an announcement and said that the results would be posted on Wednesday. So the Bible Bee contestants were very grateful for the announcement. But as morning dawned the next day the Bible Bee Headquarters prepared another announcement saying that the scores would be announced on Friday. And it happened when the sun arose that the contests saw the announcement and they grew faint. Then they wished death for themselves, saying, "It is better for us to die than to live." Then Bible Bee Headquarters said, "Is it right for you to be angry about the announcement?" and they said, "It is right for us to be angry, even to death!" Then the Bible Bee Headquarters said, "You have had pity on the Wednesday announcement, for which you did not labor nor wrote it up, which was written in a night and replaced in a night, and should we not pity the Friday announcement, that great slide in which are over 600 pixels which cannot discern between the right of the screen and the left, and much margin?

God's Maiden of Virtue

Well, I came in 2nd for Juniors. :) Nicolas came in 1st for Seniors, and Christian came in 2nd. One of my younger brothers tied for 1st in Primaries with two others. =)
You tied for 2nd in Seniors, correct?

God's Maiden of Virtue

Nicolas sure seems to think so. x) But that's in God's hands. :) I like to live by this: If I can glorify God more by not qualifying, then I don't want to qualify. But if God plans on using me to glorify His name more by qualifying, then so be it. :) Because in whatever we do, we are to glorify God. So if His name would be more magnified by our not qualifying, which would we prefer?

Agreed :) I have no idea if I'll make it…it's in God's hands. I know He knows if I'll make it or not, so I'm not too worried about it :)

Thank you, all.
It was formulating yesterday morning when I was trying to write a poem, but I could make everything both rhyme and capture Jonah 4, so I had to be reconciled to writing a different sort of poem. However, when InSoloChristo said, "it is better for me to die than to live" I couldn't help writing the whole thing out, even if it was in prose. It took about 15 minutes and my fingers were tired afterward. I had no idea you all would like it that much. Perhaps it is the overly strained nerves taking their toll on all of us.

@Ian: The Bible Bee Headquarters may not appreciate my somewhat unique approach to Jonah 4 as much as you all did. I am afraid it was rather at their expense. If they do ever read it, my chances at ever editing the sword studies would probably be reduced greatly, and we will hope that they would not disqualify me altogether.

I think if you go to your Bee's microsite they will have all the scores from that Bee.
