2 weeks till registration! 12 days till we leave. O.O

Is anyone else trying not to stress out about how little time we have left?!

Time goes sooo fast! I can and can't wait!!! :D And ahh, we're leaving in 9 days!? O.O

Ooooo. Yeah, that's right. You guys are leaving earlier than we are! Can't wait to see you in 2 weeks ^I still have TONS of study to do from now till then, so I guess I'll have to be patient on seeing you again…^

Yup! I'll still be able to do lots of studying/reviewing in the days we're there before Nats though, so that's good. :)
I know!!! 2 weeks almost seems like a while, but in regards to Nationals - not at all! :D ^You're telling me. :P^

I know. I'll be able to study on the way there ^(for the 20 hours we're in a bus)^ although sometimes it's hard to do that. Yeahhhh. 2 weeks isn't really that long at all. ^sorryyyyyy. I'm not trying to make you feel bad!^

Oh my… I really hate that feeling when you feel like you've done everything, but you still need to do more! lol. I'm pretty much at that point right now.

That would be so nice if you could focus on studying for that long! =D We'll be driving overnight, but because it'll take around 20-21 hours, we'll have nearly all day the next day in the car to do some studying. I hope I survive that long…I do NOT do well on long car trips (easy car sickness + inability to sleep). Oh well, it'll be worth it, right?! =)
^That's okay. I'm totally trusting God in regards to that. If I flunk the test, but God was glorified - I couldn't care less. =)^

Or you really hate the feeling, when you know you've been working as hard as you can every day, and still have lots to do to even start feeling prepared… verses to finish perfecting, context to learn, Hebrew words to review, last minute Nahum stuff…

Yeah. I won't get to study that long. We're leaving Monday night at 10, and getting in Orlando at 5, Wednesday morning. So most of it will be overnight bus driving. With a couple layovers for a bit that won't work to do studying.

I told my mom that I'm about 85% a week ago. But with Nationals 2 weeks away, it drops down to 10% :P jk. It just makes it scarier.

That's how I'm trying to look at it. xD And actually, Christian, Nicolas, and I didn't really get serious about our studying for Bible Bee (locals) until end of July/beginning of August (due to how busy our summer was).

Same here, Rosie. It wasn't until the beginning of August that I really could consistently do it every day. But, I have been able to study every day for nationals this year. Partly because it's my last time to try at it all… xD

That's great that you've been able to study every day for Nationals this year!!! That's such a blessing for your last year and all. =) I think being able to study seriously for Nats has definitely been less than Locals for me, but I'm sorta hoping it'll be just enough, like Locals was… XD

Yeah, I know… some years I don't get that. I'm hoping that nationals goes a little better for me than locals, but I've learned tons so I'm putting the results in God's hands, trusting Him for whatever place He wants to give me. XD

Isn't Bible Bee put in a whole new light (the right light!) when we just leave the results in God's hands? I mean, the true treasure to seek after is priceless, so if God wanted to use us to glorify Him more by not doing well, then who cares? :D ^But I'm still hoping you do really well. XD^

It's a daily battle for me, Dani. So I totally understand. Praying that God would work in me more deeply a greater passion for His name so that all I ever do would be completely for His glory, and none of mine.

Ah, Dani, I would ditto all of what Bethany said. It most certainly does not come naturally. It is a battle against my pride and desire for self-exaltation. But I must decrease, that He might increase.

oh, I definitely do not like it.

I have 400 memorized, which is the 1 and 2 card passages. Based on preceding Bible Bee events, that is all that has been asked in preliminary rounds and in semi finals. I could memorize more, but I am choosing to solidify the ones I have memorized so far, while still studying the context etc of all the passages.

Yeah, I'm trying to perfect mine in the order of the one and two card passages first, for Prelims, and then the three card ones, for Semis. I highly doubt that I will make Finals, so I'm not worrying about most of the four or five card passages.

Unless Bible Bee makes another crazy change to the way things go, like they seem to enjoy doing this year….

@Ian: Dad thought that since we would be so close to Disney, we could take advantage of the opportunity to spend some time there. So he bought tickets for us for a few days. I really wanted to spend this time studying/reviewing though, so I'll be spending most of the time here at the hotel. :)

Soooo warm! And coming from cold OH, we're loving it! :) It's like in the late 70s to early 80s. And there are lots of palm trees. xD

Well, we went for a while earlier today, but we just checked into a hotel, and I think they're going back out pretty soon. Dad plans on visiting each of the parks a little over the next few days.

Did you like it? I've been to Disneyland a million times lol. We're going to Epcot on Monday.

Well, I would recommend at least bringing a sweater or jacket. You never know when you might need it - better safe than sorry. :P

Actually, you can't check into the hotel where the BB is taking place this early, so we're at a cheap hotel close by for the next three days.

Uhhh…I'm not crazy about Disney in general, so not really. But yes, it was very impressive, and I would say that there are some really good rides and things.
