I could never understand the rules of football, and I'm not really too interested. :P

What would be more effective in a zombie apocalypse: an army, or a squadron of exo-suits?

Depends on the training and supplies. They may have all the finest equipment in the world but if they suck at using it or the stuff (like gunpowder) runs out. both are useless.

What if we assume they're all well-trained and well-supplied? :)

Then the army can split up and cover more space.
