I've gotten a bit behind on questions of the week. :-) Here's last week's; hopefully I'll have this week's tomorrow. :-) You are going to war against an army of gorillas, all of whose combat equipment (weapons, armor, vehicles, everything) is made of bananas. What one fruit do you choose to use to fight against them?
Prickly Pears. :)
Sarah
I actually have two questions of the week(s?)–I forgot to post last week's. :-)
#1: If you were to replace the hair of a giraffe, what would you replace it with? (The color, thickness, etc. must be similar in order to keep the ecosystem in balance.)
#2: Would a koala or a Komodo dragon fare better on a tilt-a-whirl ride?
Esther Grace
#2: Dragon, because it could breath fire and burn up the tilt-a-whirl if it got too dizzy and didn't like the ride. xP
Sarah
Whoops, I meant to say a Komodo dragon. Sorry about that. :-)
Would you still say the Komodo dragon?
Gloria
What's the difference between a dragon and a Komodo dragon?
Esther Grace
Probably, but I wouldn't have a reason to choose that over a koala.
Sarah
A Komodo dragon is basically just a big lizard. :-)
Gloria
Ohkays. ;)

Katie's question of the week:
You have a bunch of monkeys that you want to teach to fly hot air balloons, so naturally you have to make hot air balloons for them. What berry do you use to form the actual balloon part?
(Just a clarification: The berry has to be a true berry. So pumpkin, banana, or even coffee would count, but strawberries and other non-real "berries" would not.)
Sarah
I have a question of the week!
You're attempting to cross a sea of guacamole, but the vessel you build for crossing can only be made of one material. What material do you choose?
SavedByGrace
Titanium.
Sarah
I'd think you would want to use something that would bend somewhat easily, seeing as you're not allowed to use any extra substances for waterproofing.
SavedByGrace
I can mold it, can't I? You can put metal into any shape you want as long as you get it hot enough. Unless I have limited time or something, I could make a boat out of just titanium, I think. :P
Sarah
Good point. :-)
M27
Tortilla chips! :D
Sarah
Depending on the length of the voyage, those might get too soggy to hold your weight. :-)
M27
Well, then I would just eat my boat and swim the rest of the way!

You can always float on your back. ;)

Question of the week:
Which industry (food, construction, etc.) would ducks do the best job of running?
Ian R.2
Insurance company. :P
Andrew
Insurance company. :P
I think monkeys are handling that one fine, let's not hand it over to ducks.
2 Corinthians 5:17
Duct tape.

Obviously you didn't get my joke. :P

I, for one, didn't. :-)
Rachel: I don't think ducks would be very good with adhesives in general. Imagine if one got its wing stuck to a piece of duct tape… Ouch. ;-)

Ever heard of Aflac?
2 Corinthians 5:17
Googles it
laughs
In that case, what about DuckDuckGo.com? x) (Come to think of it, I should have used that instead of Google xP xP )
Matthew Minica
No… is still in the dark
2 Corinthians 5:17
Matthew, Aflac (I discovered) is an insurance company that has a duck as part of their logo :P
Matthew Minica
Hmm… Haha. xD

Katie's question of the week:
A group of alpacas have decided to start a cheese-making business; however, they are having trouble using their hooves to milk the cows. Despite this difficulty, they are unwilling to hire human help. What cow-milking strategies would you suggest to them?
ZachB
Use a cow milking machine or hire animals without hooves
Sarah
Passed the Spanish CLEP today– 12 more college credits! Woohoo!

Nice! Congrats!

I've just discovered during the last few days that my prayer list takes me a solid twenty to thirty minutes to get all the way through. :-O

Katie's question of the week:
How does the Pygmy marmoset save his friend Pygmy pig from the tar pit if the Pygmy marmoset has t-Rex arms that are too short to use?

Dear Auto-correct: If "unbleached" is a word, then "unreached" is a word. Just saying.
