Frozen was great! Not my favorite movie, but tied with Bolt for my favorite animated film. In my view, Disney broke the mold of most children's movies in so many new and interesting ways that it created the hype the media talks about. It was refreshing, and I admire that. Plus, the message is very good. :)

(just found this thread) My problem was that none of my friends had read the book yet. :P

The book has been a favorite of mine for years, but I don't hate the movie. On the contrary, it's one of my new favorites! I think they did a great job translating it into a movie - and the enlarged role of the Chief Elder made for an interesting twist (that wasn't in the book).

I like Facing the Giants, Courageous, Fireproof, Faith Like Potatoes, God's Not Dead, and Frozen (well, not really). I haven't watched Mom's night out yet (I don't have it, and can't get it either :() I'm going to watch Flywheel next time we watch a movie…

Frozen was the most epic in theaters. Watching at home is great but just not nearly as awesome. lol After the first time I saw Frozen I literally probably watched the 'Let it Go' sequence on YouTube 50 times. xD yeeeaaah… needless to say I'm a little sick of it kinda like most everyone else is now. xD

Oh Noah… xP Why do you still watch beginning, independent, low budget films? :P Is Equilibrium a Christian based movie?

You like sad endings?
No, not at all. I was just saying that it was the first and only movie I've ever seen that had one. That movie was really sad!

Ohh, okay! The only movie I can think of at the moment that I've seen that had a really sad ending is Joel's Journey. And it's a true story. cries

Because I'm a beginning, independent, low budget filmmaker.

No its Orwellian, and its conservative, and a great parable for the end times and the antichrist, but its not overtly christian.

there are some really good movies that are sad/epic…The Punisher, Saving Private Ryan, Braveheart, Escape from Sobibor, (more but I can't think of them..) but these are also extremely epic.

I've heard of Saving Private Ryan. Dad said the message they try to get across in that movie is terrible.

And started counting how _Remember_ copied every detail of _Equilibrium_ ... and I ran out of computer space. :(
I haven't seen the second, but I have the first... Oh, dear. :)

Remember is a complete cop off of Equilibrium, a shameless plagiarism that is absolutely disgusting. Watch them both in a row, and you'll see! Not only is equilibrium a great movie, but you'll enjoy spotting the similarities between the movies,

Much better. Except that quoting is really messing things up. WHICH IS WHY I DON'T LIKE QUOTING!!

1) The movie was too rushed.

2) Eric didn't have enough piercings.

3) You didn't grow to care about any of the characters.

4) The deviations from the book were unnecessary.

5) We had deaths rapid-fire in the final act of the movie, and due to #3 up there, we didn't care about any of them.

6) Tris looks like Natalie Portman.

7) Don't get me started on how fake the guns looked. I mean, seriously!

8) Tris mood-swings from meek girl to sassy Divergent in the first act of the movie.

9) Soo…everyone was cutting themselves and dripping blood into the bowls, but when Tris steps up, there's no sign of blood anywhere?

Watched Beyond the Mask last night. :D

And found out that War Room is due in theaters August 28th. Looking forward to that! I might have to miss a couple hours of BB study for that. xP

Beyond The Mask is definitely one of the best movies I have ever seen. I'm serious. We got it last Sunday; it is SO good! Our whole family really, really, really liked it.

Beyond the Mask. XD Welllll…. you've probably seen Courageous and those ones…Amazing Grace is really good. It's about William Wilberfource (is that how you spell it??) and his fight in England against the slave trading industry.

The War Within is a really good one, too. It's about a couple who were having a hard time in their relationship. In the movie it goes inside him and shows the confilcting parts of his mind (Heart, Memory, Will, Emotion, Conscience, and someone else) interacting and making the decisions that made him act. It's really well done in every way.

Polycarp is one I got from our local BB this year. It's about the early Christians and their persecution. I think it was released fairly recently.

(Has anyone else seen Sybil Ludington? Because I'd like to hear your opinions on it.)

That's what I can think of off of the top of my head. :)
