That Moment When...

When you're trying to play a three octave D scale at violin lessons and your shoulder rest breaks in half. I should tell it I feel the same way about three octave scales…
Matthew Minica
Oh no! But lol! xP
2 Corinthians 5:17
:o
Sarah
Yikes!
Emily H
My violin teacher was like, "There have been a lot of tradgidies, but never has that happened before." xP
2 Corinthians 5:17
Where did it break? Were you and your violin okay? xD
Sarah
First off, EMILYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! xD xD xD xD xD xP xP xP xP xD xD
Haha! I can see why that wouldn't happen every day. When Bethany was playing violin, she wasn't the gentlest with her shoulder rest, but it still made it through a couple of years of lessons with enough life left in it for us to resell it. :-D
Emily H
It was the plastic piece in between the two parts that go on your violin, that the foam is glued on. It broke right in half close to to left piece that holds on to the violin. =P Yep! Thankfully! xP It falls off all the time, and makes kind of a thunk sound when it does, so I thought that was what had happened at first. Or that I had smashed my violin (o.0) I had to use my brother's sholder rest for the rest of the time. xP
Emily H
SARAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! xD xD xD lol
Haha! Yeah, I was kind of surprised, but it is pretty old… Sadly it's a really cool purple one, so I probably won't be able to get one like that again. xP lol
2 Corinthians 5:17
Oh dear! What an interesting place for it to break =P Glad you both are okay. xD
2 Corinthians 5:17
Purple? xD
Emily H
Me too! I know…I kind of have a tendency to hold my violin really tightly when I have to play up really high though… =P
Emily H
Lol, you're awesome Rachel. xD xP sends that to my mom xP
Sarah
Bummer. :-( xD (I'm not sure those faces have ever been used right next to each other before. xD) Hopefully you'll find another one that's just as cool!
Should we maybe go revive Social Chatting instead of filling up this thread? xP
Sarah B.
Good idea, girl! Go hit that SC!
Emily H
Haha, probably not! I hope so too! xP
That's probably a good idea, except for that I really should go… :(:( hugs Miss you!
Sarah
Haha, probably not! I hope so too! xP That's probably a good idea, except for that I really should go... :(:( *hugs* Miss you!
hugs Okay, bye!
Sarah
That's the exact one that Bethany had when she took violin lessons. xD
Sarah
Since Emily's leaving, would you care to join me? :-)
2 Corinthians 5:17
Haha, hope it's as good as your old one! xD
2 Corinthians 5:17
I'd like to, but seeing it is late here, I have to go to bed. Bye! waves
James C.
You realize that James 1:27 is what you did in BB.
I (James) placed (won) 27th!
Actually I didn't notice it, my mom did.

… you're at a football game with your neighbors and you persuade the neighbor boy to quiz you on your Nats verses. Soon everyone around you is commenting "Wow, I can't believe you can remember that much!" and you're thinking "yeahh…. that's only like a tenth of them…."
(No, I'm not going to Nats after all. this happened in 2013 when I did go to Nats.)
ZachB
….you're going through questions on John and you realize you wrote "when Lazarus raised Jesus from the dead".

....you're going through questions on John and you realize you wrote "when Lazarus raised Jesus from the dead".
Lol! I've made dumb mistakes like that before too!
Cory(being a fool is not cool, but God is a precious redeeming jewel)
… you realize that you reviewed about 50% of your verses on the way to Canada. Yep. That's what I spent yesterday doing…
Gloria
… when you are reading Psalm 45, and in verse 10 when you read 'forget also thy own people, and thy father's house:' , you automatically think of Romeo and Juliet where Juliet says 'Deny thy father and refuse thy name!' lol. :p
Matthew Minica
When for like the eighth time you type a verse on ScriptureTyper with the proper grammar ("Is this your son, whom ye say was born blind?"), only to remember than in KJV the modern proper grammar is not as strictly followed and the text says "who" not "whom". facedesk Thankfully that's not actually a verse I have to be ready to recite at Nats.
M27
…when you are very bothered by some grammar in Psalm 139:1-18, and you're not even a grammar police! ^I don't use KJV, though^
ZachB
I have had that….NKJV?
Cory(being a fool is not cool, but God is a precious redeeming jewel)
I think she's ESV
M27
Yes, I'm ESV :). @Zachary: Is it in verse 16 or 17 when it says "was" instead of "were"?
ZachB
In NKJV it does say "were". It's "was" in ESV?
M27
Yes, I'm pretty sure that it does (now I'm second guessing myself :)).
SavedByGrace
It seems to me that it could be either "was" or "were" in this instance. I probably would have put "were," but I don't think the other option is incorrect here. (Or, for all I know, "was" is actually the best choice. I've grown to trust the judgment of those who've likely spent their lives studying language and grammar, as opposed to my relative lack of experience and effort in linguistics. :) )
M27
It makes it worse if both are correct options! Now I can't remember which one it is :). I'll just have to hope that it's not one of the three passages in orals.
Sarah
…You realize how funny it is that evolutionists only ever talk about humans' "relationship" with apes–humans share 90% of our DNA with apes, humans and apes have similar body structures, and so on and so forth. I mean, we share 50% of our DNA with a banana, and according to evolution, humans and bananas have a common ancestor as well, and yet you never hear evolutionists going on and on about how similar humans are to bananas!

When your finally finished a long day of school and you can finally do something fun, when suddenly you wake up and it was just a dream and its 10:00 AM. (well, maybe the 10:00 AM part is an exasperation, but I'm home schooled and that does sometimes happen)

…when you turn on the hairdryer and sparks fly out.

…you are in a little library with all of the computers smashed right up next to each other and there are six kids 9-11 behind you at the other three computers playing video games, saying bad words, ect. and one little girl who is a part of their group is looking over your shoulder as you're typing out Isaiah 6:1-5 and again at Nehemiah 9:6. And just reading it as hard as she can.

… my dad tells me he saw a huge wall-hanger buck next to my stand with the rack will outside his ears and still expects me to get my school done… ha. :P
2 Corinthians 5:17
This is incredible. xD
Emma
Wow. :P
Matthew Minica
When you've just come back from some aerobic activity, turn on some favorite music, and it weirdly sounds a lot slower than what you thought was normal (what you remember)…
Or when you turn on the same music just after waking up in the morning and it sounds a lot faster than normal…
Even though it's the exact same song. :P
Emma
I knoowww! :P
SavedByGrace
Ever listened to music after swimming for a long time? Then it just doesn't sound like the same song at all. :P
Matthew Minica
I don't think I ever have… I'll have to try that sometime. :P
Sarah
…Cleverbot asks you if the Holy Spirit is a vampire. xP xD xD
Matthew Minica
When you get "eliminated" from Semi-Finals because of a mistake that you didn't mean to make, you'd never made before, that doesn't even make any sense in the context of the passage, and that in all truth came out that way just because of the way you speak. (This is not funny. I'm still trying to figure this one out.)
