Free Book Rewards from Scripture Memory Fellowship

Wow! This is nice! Thumbs up to SMF!

Wow! That's amazing! But my main question is, do we get all of those things listed if we memorize 200, 500, or 1000 verses, or do we just pick one? And how are they sent to us? Do we have to contact SMF to get any of these things, or are they just automatically sent to us if we have memorized enough? And that camp sounds great! I'll have to ask my parents about the emailing part, but it sounds like it would be a great motivator to keep memorizing. When and how long is the camp? Sorry for all my questions, but I just want to make a few things clear. :)

Saved By Grace, everyone who has 200 verses memorized on memverse can contact SMF for a book. Those who have memorized more than 500 verses on memverse will get more than one book. However, you don't get all the books listed. You pick the one (or more if you qualify) you want.

No books are mailed automatically to you. You (or your parents) have to contact SMF by phone, email, or in person at one of their booths to choose your prize and let them have your address so they can send it to you, or you can pick up the prizes in person in Nashville or at a SMF booth at a home school fair. If you want them to mail to you, you should probably coordinate with your brother so that they can save a little on postage and just send one package to the Alexander residence.

The camp is one week. Arrangements are still being finalized for available weeks and locations. We will post on memverse when we find out. Also, those who contact SMF with an interest in the camps will be contacted directly when they finalize the location and dates.

Josiah, I agree. I was thrilled when I first heard of the offer from memverse user Jim Wochuk, who is the director of SMF. I pray that God will bless their ministry as they in turn bless and inspire people who memorize God's Word. PS Have you picked out your 3 books yet? Or are you going for 2 books plus the Tic-Tac-Know game?

How long will this last? Because I haven't memorized ANY verses yet because of our schedule but I will work hard now! :) LOL do they have to actually be new verses we've never memorized before or can they just be not memorized on Memverse? I wish memorizing by my self (not on Memverse) counted! :) I would have had 500 verses...almost... done! jk

@BibleBeeJunior11, I have put only, like, half of the verses I've memorized on memverse, and only about a third of my memverse verses are memorized. But I bet they'll be having this for a while, I mean, they are talking about camp in 2012 and beyond, so they probably will be doing this for some time, is my guess.

Is there anywhere we can see more info on the books?

I would like to echo all the enthusiasm! We are thrilled to be working closer with Scripture Memory Fellowship and want to thank them for helping us all keep motivated. I especially like the fact that the books are such worthwhile reads and will complement the discipline of memorizing the Bible.

This is sooooooooo cool. I am gonna work SOOOO hard! I think I'll add another 200 verses (national 2011) soon on MemVerse.) lol

I second that God's Bondslave:-) I think this is the second greatest way to give kid's as well as adults a desire to Memorize scripture (The first being "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness" (2Tim3:16)) well done SMF!

I know this is of topic, but how long does it take for someone to go inactive?

Jesus-paid-it-All. From what I've heard it takes a month of inactivity for your account to be inactive.

Clara, I know your mom met Jim Woychuk at a SMF booth at a home school fair last year. Was that at a NC one or did your mom travel out of state? By the way, CONGRATULATIONS on being eligible for this year's finals. Praise God!! May you represent my homeland well. If we can get a good internet connection, and if you make it on stage, you may have a bunch of STT Setia seminary students joining me staying up all night to cheer you on live at Finals.

Good Morning Dakota. We have no plans to discontinue this offer, as the Lord provides and leads. I think we can foresee at least six months' continuance, and we would love for it to continue beyond that.

This has nothing to do with this page, but my memorization page is unresponsive every so often. For some reason it is more so today. It has happened three times in one setting. Whenever it goes unresponsive this box comes up and says, "This page is unresponsive. You can either kill the page or wait." Could someone do something about it? Thanks!

Sorry this is a little off topic...I put some verses in my account and put them under pending. But then when I go to see if I have verses to review it gives me the verses I put under pending. Anyone have a solution???

@runner: If that little box comes up it means your internet is too slow. You should update your browser. Hope that helps.

I have one question. If I have 500 verses, can I pick two prizes from the 500 verse prize section, one for 200 verses and one for 500 verses, if I have not already picked a 200 verse prize?

Joshua, unless SMF overrules me, I believe 500 verses means one verse from the top section and then one verse from the 2nd section. (You can choose 2 from the 200 section if you want, but not 2 from the 500 section)

how does this work if you have 2 accounts on memverse and some verses are different and some are the same verses?
I have one with only BB verses and one just regular account that I started before BB.
There is only some over lapping (yet I have memorized much more than what is on either account by programs such as AWANA or Bible Quizzing or just on my own)

Marie, I don't know how SMF will want to handle your multiple accounts. Maybe you can work it out with them in person at Nationals.

Thank you to SMF! We received our Missionary Coloring Book and love it! We will be using it to teach a team that is going to Niger, Africa. It has John 3:16 in multiple languages. We went to Niger this past summer and were inspired to stay involved with this ministry. May God richly bless you as you are blessing others!

Rosie - 12th nationally (whole country) i was 1st at my local contest because i was the only junior there! our host said that they had originally had about 40 people signed up to come but then only 8 had the perseverance to finish.

I got the Biography of Isaac Watts today! (For memorizing 200 verses.) It is great! I read the first chapter and really like it - especially the part about his father's letter to him and his siblings.

I have a question about something that was said in The Memorizer. It says that you can join SMF as your organization. Are you supposed to do this only if you really are a member? I could easily do it with the new group leaderboard... Anyway, I think I would do it if nobody minds.

Hello to all my fellow memorizers, just came here to thanks again to the Scripture Memory Fellowship (SMF) and Memverse for the opportunity of making for us an easier way to study and memorize God's Word. Today I received my books and I couldn't be more happy for them because I'm completely sure they will be very helpful for me in this journey.
I encourage all others to keep learning and most of all applying what we learn.
