2013 Locals!!!

Same here. It felt like I guessed on the whole test. But I'm sure there were like maybe 10 I knew. Maybe. :-/ Yes, It is in God's hands :) The whole time I was like "Thy will be done, Thy will be done…" I couldn't believe how hard it was!

So do you still read 1 John and review your verses? :P

Yeah, totally :) I just was so surprised and then I knew that I was not gonna be able to check them, so I was like, well, if I'm toast, I'm toast. :D

yeah, I only got to check a few, and those ones I changed, having more time to think them through. And I was just like grrrrrreat. :-/

I'm new to memverse, but not new to the bible bee (5th year and I competed at Nationals 2012.) Our local contest went well. Everyone agreed the written test was hard. I didn't place, but we had about 20 seniors.

Yeah :) I didn't change any, I just read two or three over, and I was like, "I don't know, I don't know!!!!!" So yeah. If this was locals test, I can only imagine how hard Nationals test will be. :-/

Well, I like some of my food black on the outside, but I would rather my toast be a medium brown.

I didn't have time to change hardly any of mine either, I finished with only five minutes to spare.

Yes. I have a certain line on the toaster that I have to have my bagels and bread toasted on lol. From Bible Bee to fine toast. =)

My sister who was at nationals the first three years, before she got to old, said that she never thought the nationals test was any harder then locals, because it had more stuff to cover, so it couldn't be quite as in depth. But it might have changed.

yeah right! lol there's no way it's gonna be like that :) the reason it was like that was because there was no nationals book. But yeah, that would be so nice :) and I would still probably fail it! :D

Does any one have any guesses on how many passages they'll add for nationals this year?

Nationals test was WAY harder in 2012 than locals. I don't know, though, about 2011. I forgot how 2011 Nationals was like :)

No :) and I don't really care, either :) the more, the better, because if I can master both them and the test, then I have a huge advantage. But that's assuming I'm going to make it :P

Your sister's name is Hosanna….right?? I think the National test is hard in a different way…because you're not quite sure what to study… but yeah, I don't think it goes really in depth.

We always look over all those pictures too:) It's kind of neat, when you recognize these people that you've never met.

2011 they asked tons of questions on Jude… :P That's basically what I remember because I was sitting there thinking "I know Jude is a good cross reference and all, but still, I thought we were studying 2 Peter…"

Yeah! When you first got on here, I thinking your last name sounded so familiar, and then you said something about having your sister going to nationals and then it all clicked :)

Yeah :) well, I basically have 2 and 3 John memorized, because I read them every day. And I read John and Revelation 3 or 4 times through. So yeah :) and I almost had Acts memorized in 2012 when I was studying Paul. But no, not Genesis, and definitely NOT 1 and 2 Kings :D

Lol :) I only read through the first part of John twice, and then listened to it the night before Bible Bee (and I'm glad I did, it helped!). And Revelation 1… Oh, and I read 2 and 3 John a couple times too… If they keep asking general Bible Knowledge, we'll have to memorize the whole Bible…. Jk :)

Yes, I did… And I saw you :) (besides semis and finals, you were sitting somewhere in the hall way) lol I know! I was so confused, and when we came home, we started reading through the Bible and I was like "ooooh, that's where that question came from" :P Haha, that face thing always makes me think of a frog :P

It was the last day I think. And I think it was after finals… It was next to those vender booths (I forgot if that's what they're called…) And I was standing there looking at you and thinking "Oh, I know her, that's Hannah del Toro, she's the girl that had the cute chihuahua in her picture" :P

I was so excited when I found out that they included the dog's face in the picture! I thought they wouldn't, because in 2010 I had my picture with my hamster, Caramel, and they cut him out, sadly (it was his only claim to fame!) :D Yes, my Chihuahua Cookie Dough is infamous. She even has her own Bible Bee Frisbee and Bible Bee T-shirt. Our pets are hard core Bible Bee fans. B-)

That's awesome!!! =D Yeah, in 2011 my brother put a picture of him with his rabbit and I think they cut it out (or else used a different picture…I don't remember). And then we did the Build-a-Bear thing, and he wanted to take the Bible Bee shirt and put it on his rabbit but I think he lost it first… :P

lol well we made our own on famouschihuahua.com. We were going to use those, but the logo rubbed off too quickly because my little sisters used them on their dolls or something…who knows :) anyway, we ended up with five of those bear tees, and now we have a bunch of plain white shirts for all of the dolls and bears and pets in the world to wear. :P

Oh cool! Lol, that's so funny :P I think he lost it before he could rub off the logo…and come to think of it, I don't really know where mine is either. I promptly took it off and stashed it somewhere because I thought the horse looked weird (like really weird) in a BB shirt. :P
