Same here. It felt like I guessed on the whole test. But I'm sure there were like maybe 10 I knew. Maybe. :-/ Yes, It is in God's hands :) The whole time I was like "Thy will be done, Thy will be done..." I couldn't believe how hard it was!

BTW I had a dream last night that my brother was 8th in seniors and I was 5 places away from going to Nats :)!!! It was kinda sad but awesome :P!

I dreamed that our family overslept as to miss the registration, and Mom decided we could take the Memverse practice tests and send our score in from them….I was SO mad! :P :D

Wow! That's sad :(! How did you do on the practice tests :P??? :P! BTW do you know your score yet? I knew mine but forgot!!

On the Senior PT, I got 181/200 - I know I didn't do that well on the actual test ;-) :( :(
I felt very prepared for the test (the kind of test that there was last year) until I opened the book. :( :(
No, I don't know my score, except that I did place first in our Local group :)

Sorry that I didn't have time to get on Saturday! I got up way earlier in the morning than usual (6:15), and then there was Bible Bee, and then we had a BB friend over after that, and then we had to go to church, and then some friends of ours invited us over, and we didn't get home until 11:45. So, long story short, we were really busy!

Locals went pretty well for us. I got first place in the Junior division! PTL! (Actually, it was my turn anyway. Alethea Leonard and I have been taking turns getting first place, and she won last year.)

My dad's flying up to AK today from Denver CO to get the house ready for winter. We're staying with the Johnsons in Denver until Friday.

Hey guys!!! Glad to see how well it went for all of ya. I had an awesome time meeting so many neat people and the quizzing wasn't all that bad either. :P I think I bombed the written test, but hopefully my oral score makes up for that. :) (The judges told me what my score was.)

Mrs. D. didn't tell us what our scores were:( We really missed you at locals:( Erik was our commander again:)!!!!!

I missed you too. :( And Mrs. Deloach. And Erik. He was so much fun!! (I didn't even know what his name was until I read that. :))

When we got to locals, Jessica, Rachel, and I were all hoping he would be there, and then we saw a folder with his name on it on the registration table, and we were all like "Yes!"

Wow, I have missed a ton on here :)

Written Test – Personally, I thought the written test wasn't really all that hard, and I think I did pretty well. My guess is that I got around 25-30 wrong. (PTL!! :)

Oral Round – I believe I got all of the passages correct. If I got anything wrong, I didn't notice :) (Praise the Lord for that too!)

God was so kind in helping me to be completely calm and stay focused for both written and oral, and He has also really been helping me to surrender my desire to qualify over to Him – and leave the results up to Him. Anyway….:)
Because we had so many really good Juniors at our Bee, I did not make it to the top 5 – but Dad said that since there are so many good Juniors, he believes that the top 7 or 8 will qualify. And, as he thinks that I came in 6th, he is saying that I will very likely qualify – I'm trying not to listen to him……;-) I'd rather be very surprised, than disappointed :)

That's great Rosie that you were able to stay focused, I'm afraid I had a real hard time with that because we had to get up at two thirty that morning to get there in time, so I was really tired:(

Oh, yeah, and I met one of last year's Nationals contestants, too! That was pretty cool.

Hey, what place did you get at locals?

The written test was pretty hard! I have no idea how I did one it. I could have done either really good or really really bad! I think I got maybe 8-10 points of on oral at most though. Locals was soooo much fun! I placed second after Matthew. :) Mrs. Kennedy, Shelby Kennedy's mom, actually came to our Bee and gave out the certificates! Then my family and some of the other family's went to lunch with her. It was soooo neat! :D

I got 3rd place in the Seniors. Caleb got 1st. There were only six seniors there!!!

That's good! There were only five seniors at our locals:(

Wow! That's a lot less than were there last year.

I know. This year, it seemed like it was mostly all primaries.

I'm4given (Sarah) - that is really cool that you Mrs. Kennedy come to your bee. I think it is awesome to think about the countless lives that Shelby Kennedy's life has touched.
Our bee grouped together with a couple other bees for contest day near BIble Bee HQ. Headquarters ran our bee. It was great. It is great to get to know so many people, both locally and nationally! Some of my best friends I have made through the Bible Bee.

Yeah… I've made so many great friends through Bible Bee! That's neat that headquarters ran your Bee! I was really glad that I got the opportunity to tell Mrs. Kennedy how her daughter's story touched my life. I heard the story about Shelby at the 2009 National's, and after that night I have felt very strongly called to do overseas mission work…. and memorize more Scripture! :) It's wonderful that she left such a wonderful legacy.

Yes, her story is so inspiring. After 2009, I wrote a speech about the Bible Bee and the first point was about Shelby's life - the inspiration behind the Bible Bee.

So on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being easiest and 10 being the hardest in your life, how would you say the written test was on a scale of hardness?

I would say the test was probably a 7 or 8. With that scale I put 5 as a normal bible bee test.
