Do all the National contestants get it?

BTW Everyone: did anyone have a hard time doing Week 4 Day 3? :) That was kind of tricky for me…

No, you have to buy it.

I didn't have a hard time on that day…but I did have a hard time on Week 3 Day 3…that was SO hard!

Rachel, I think some of those boxes are supposed to be left blank, if that's what you were having trouble with. Like verses 12-21, don't have an answer for the "what" column, or at least not that I could find.

Yes, week three day three was on the hard side…

On week 4 day 4, do you think they could have accidently mixed up questions 6 and 7, putting in the wrong reference? I had a hard time with those questions, and I wondered if that could be the solution.

I think they did…I just put in what made sense.

You did? Where was I? What was I doing? I can't believe I'm on the highlights DVD! I'm famous! Lol :P

@Allison: I'm pretty sure that's what happened. I wondered about that too.

haha! They had a video of part of the choir, then they zoomed in once on you and some other kids. And then during the Senior processional, you're standing in line behind someone who they filmed getting their medal, and there might have been another time…

@Carissa, yeah, I was kinda disappointed the 2011 one was so short too… the 2012 one isn't as long as the '09 or '10 ones, but a little longer than the 2011 one.

I think it's about the same as far as ease of understanding and number of errors (not saying there are a lot, just that there are about the same amount as last year). As to which book I like better…I won't know until the end of the summer. ;) I always find that the more I study a book the more I like it.

All- I think I remember someone giving a link to a message or something on the book of 1 John….was it SBG??? Anyway, if you know where I could find that again, please let me know! :)

Yes, if you are referring to what I think you are referring to, I was the one who shared it. You'll find it on "Awesome Websites!" in General Chat Topics. :)

What does everyone's "Bible Bee To Do List" look like?

Mine looks like this:

Allison's Bible Bee To Do List:
Note: These are not in order of importance.

Finish taking 1 John 2 test
Edit 1 John 2 test
Turn 1 John 2 test into quizlet set
Email 1 John 2 set out to friends
Work on verse comprehension questions
Work on cross-reference questions
Study cross-references (using sets on quizlet)
Review verses
Recite verses to someone
Take 1 John 1 test
Read commentaries
Recite 1 John 1 and 2
Read over 1 John 3 a couple times
Make quizlet sets with 1 John 2, 1 John 3, 1 John 4, and 1 John 5

That's all I can think of right now. (I know it is impossible to get all this done in a day, but these are things that will keep me busy, so I'm not wasting time, doing silly things.

It might help you all to write up to do lists, and even post them on here, so that we can sort of keep each other accountable, and check up on each other.

God bless!

Mine looks something like

*perfect verses
*read context for all passages
*read 1, 2, 3 John, John and Revelation
*read a commentary on 1 John
*finish one week in Sword Study every two days
*write all the questions from Sword Study in a notebook
*make some Chapter 5 questions
*memorize as many cross references as I can

That's about all I can think of at the moment….:) and no, I don't do that all in one day…I should though! =D

Ditto! Though I pushed my self to do it :)! I had studied so hard about the specific verses and all the questions were like "in 1 John chapter 1…" It was kinda frustrating! Was it like that on the senior test?

Yeah!!! On the Senior test it was like "Where in 1 John (chapter)" or "Where in 1 John" and even "Where in the Bible"!!!! It didn't even give us references or anything…… :( :( That, I think, was the hardest test I've taken in a long time :P

I didn't have anywhere else to put this, so here you go! I wrote this in about half an hour last night.
BTW, I sent this to the Bible Bee Headquarters, and Mrs. McMahan said they would put it in the National Encourager!

Just twenty minutes every day,
We do our studies and we pray.
On mornings, evenings, weekends too,
We memorize, read and review.

Come end of summer, far or near,
We go to Locals with verses clear.
Written and Orals, new friends and games,
When we all go home, we won’t be the same.

The next round is the very best,
Although it is much more intense.
The top three hundred study more,
Then quote, at Nationals, verses galore.

Some say it’s like the Spelling Bee,
But this one lasts eternally.
With Scripture deep within our souls,
We’ll share it with our friends and foes.

Why don’t you come? You’ll love it too!
You’ll learn at least just one thing new.
It’s lots of work, but when we’re done,
We soon find out - we all have won!

And then at Nats they make demands
from all of us: to wave our hands.
Why they do this we don't know,
Why not, instead, wriggle a toe?
