Did you count the significant amount of overlap between some passages (Joshua 1:7-9 vs. Joshua 1:9, for example)? Taking that into account, I got 750. ;) But even if it is 950, that's not nearly as bad as last year because we have quite a bit more time!

Did anyone notice that the Nationals verses overlap passages? They have us memorizing a long passage, and then small parts of that passage again! That's kind of strange!

Looks like the reason for that is the Seniors have all the Primary and Junior passages, plus more… For example, Seniors and Juniors will be memorizing John 6:47-58, but Primaries only have 47-51 and 54-58.

There's a ton of overlap.

Also, has anyone done the study for Week 1, Day 1? If so, do you think that when they kept telling us to cross-reference Genesis 1:1-5 they meant John 1:1-5? I was kind of confused.

As I was going through it just now, I noticed what you were talking about. I'm inclined to think that they meant John, but I'm not sure. Does anyone else know or have an idea?

Genesis 1:1-5 - creation of the heavens and earth, light (and darkness); John 1, the Word is Creator of all, and the comparison between light and darkness in verse 5?

I know you guys are mainly older, but I have two kids working on primary, and I figured some of you have sibs… I've noticed some inconsistencies between what they say is in the appendix and what is actually there. Like, they have a page for the kids to go to the Bible Map in the appendix and answer questions and they have to color and label the map, but the appendix seems to only have crossword puzzles, ciphers, and word searches, plus a coloring page. There were some other minor typos that I attribute to the speed of their production Am I missing something? Like an extra file? I went through the older level appendices and found nothing… :-(

Not that part, but on page 12 it says 'Let's look are Genesis 1:1-5 again' when it never said to read Genesis before that. I think it's just a typo and nothing to worry about.

You are not missing anything. My Mom noticed the same thing with my sister's primary study guide. It's just either a typo or they forgot to include it. You might be able to find a map you could print online somewhere that they could fill in instead. :)

Do any of you Seniors know what verse they meant to put today in Learn instead of John 3:23? Maybe John 2:23? It's pretty obvious that it's not supposed to be John 3:23.

I wondered that too, but I put down that those who believed were baptized, but I could be wrong. I dunno. xP

I don't know about your Senior Study Guide, but mine says 1 John 3:23 not John 3:23. I think 1 John 3:23 makes way more sense! :)

I got my usb in the Bible Bee box today and I managed to get the study guide copied on to it. But now
I'm confused. I thought that I could type on the lines provided, but it only gives me the option to
add a note. Can I edit the file or do I have to make a note?
