Memverse Semi-Finalists: Anna Floyd, Melody Mieczkowski, Ryan Sinni, Jimmy Waters, Nicolas Alexander, Hannah del Toro, Kerestel Leonard, Febah Mathew, and Everett & Jarrett Chew all made it to Semi-Finals for a total of 10 semi-finalists this year! Hannah del Toro also advanced to Finals and won 5th place in the Junior division, and Anna Floyd won 2nd in Seniors!

I made it!!! 21st place! I'm so excited. :D

YES! I made it to Nationals!!!!! I got place #43!! I got a perfect oral score (finally!), and 510 on the written test. I am so excited!!!!!!! I MADE IT!!!!

I got 87th place!! I got a perfect orals, but missed 40 on the test. Congrats! How did Courtney do, Matthew?

I would have come on sooner, but we had to clean the kitchen. Believe me, that was the fastest kitchen cleanup time ever in our house!

Courtney made it too! She got an oral score of 298 and a written score of 477 for a total score of 775. She was rank #50.

I cannot believe this… but as far as I can tell… there might be others that I don't know about but… as far as I can tell, I got the FOURTH highest 15-year-old Senior score!!!!!!!!!! Only Kara Schmidt, Hannah Leary, and Joshua Cherian beat me! And I'm not even 15 yet! I am overwhelmed with this news! falls back in chair, breathing deeply

Yes she is. I competed at the same bee as she did, and our scores were within two points of each other.

I qualified! Praise the Lord! I got 51st place, and I am so happy for all who qualified!

I tied with a few people in score, but I received the highest written test score of those tied, so I was ranked higher.

I didn't tie with anyone.

I actually got the same end score with two other people…one of the Watt's, and I'm trying to figure out the other one…someone in VA.

I'm adding the Nationals verses in now… It looks like a lot of them will have to be verified - they are missing punctuation and such…

Looks like they won't be sending us new memory cards. :( I guess they're just trying to save money.

I came in a little behind you in the 63rd place.

Some of them… I'm not sure exactly how many yet. Actually, many of the passages are cross-references for 2 Timothy, so I should have a pretty easy time with those. :)

Hey, I only got 43rd! There's 42 other people you have to worry about more than me… and besides, I'm one of the youngest (if not THE youngest) qualifiers!

Age doesn't mean anything - if I did, I would have beat you because I'm older. But, as we already saw, being younger means nothing.

What do you all think of the verses this year? I think that there are quite a lot of repeats and cross-references from previous years.

I'm sorry, AstroLeah! You are still a winner, even though you didn't qualify. You worked hard, and that is what matters!

Leah - I'm sorry you didn't make it this year. I am praying for you and the others. In the spirit of Matthew 6, it's better for those who didn't make it but worked hard and who are not boasting of how they did, than for those who did make it and also worked hard but may boast in their strength (instead of in God).

I remember studying hard too in 2009 and expecting to make it, and then finding out I hadn't. It was definitely disappointing. In 2009, no one knew how they did if they didn't make it – there were no scores posted online or rankings (as far as I can remember).

But, you won't be sitting beside him, because Ben (uh...I mean, Benjamin! :D) will be sitting between you both.

Maybe I have something wrong, but it seems to me that Waters comes before Watt, and Alex comes before Ben (?)…

That's right Alex. I made Nationals only by the grace of God. I am grateful that He gave me the privilege of going for the 3rd time. Praise be to HIM!!!!

That's right, it was by the Lord's grace, and not by anything we did. Praise the Lord!

Well, I guess so, Alex, but on the contestants list it listed "Jimmy, Benjamin and Alexander" But, things could get switched up.

To put it frankly, you can't be sure until you get there. Last year, I expected to be sitting by Isabella Morganthal (because our names were next to each other on the list) but I ended up being by Karissa McFarlane.

I didn't make Nationals, but I got 128th place, tying with two or three other people. Where do you find the National verses?

Yes, I know, shock and suprise at seeing me on here again and all that. But I couldn't resist, seeing as it's the Bible Bee and all:)
I did less than half of my Sword Study and didn't even look at my memory cards until Thursday (the 23rd), so I didn't expect to make it, which I didn't. Yes, I know, I'm kind of a last-minute person sometimes.:) I ended up ranked 148 with a score of 740.
It appears that I tied Bethany's written score AGAIN (I would have done italics but I don't know how on to:), but I didn't do too well on the oral round:(
That's about it for now.:)

As long as you did your best and hid God's Word in your heart, God will be pleased. And great job to all of my fellow Nationals qualifiers! I'll hope to see you there, and I'll be praying that you do very well! :)
