NATIONALS!

@ALL - Did any of you get to vacation after Bible Bee Nationals? If so, where all did you go?

We went to visit our Grandparents in South Carolina for Thanksgiving. We got to tour downtown historic Charleston, which was really nice. :)

That sounds cool. However, we just went straight home. :)

We went through Branson, MO and watched Joseph…..

I don't really know where to post this, but we watched the 2011 Highlights!!! Has anyone else seen it? What did you think?

What do you mean "watched Joseph"…was that a show or something?
Did you go to Silver Dollar City? We were there last year, and it was great! Except I didn't enjoy the rollercoasters quite as much as my dad and sisters did. The giant barn swing was better. :D

I haven't seen the 2011 Highlights. What exactly is in them?

NEAT, Emily! I think we're planning buying it, we just haven't yet. We were really excited that they made one for '11 because David was in Finals that year!

Yeah, it was a show, about Joseph from the Bible. And they stuck to Scripture. It was REALLY good. No, we didn't go to Silver Dollar City. I saw flyers for it, but have no idea what it is.

Actually, there's not much in the 2011 Highlights. Some of the processional, choir, speakers and such, one passage by each of the Semifinalists. I think each of the top 5 Finalists recite a passage too, or else they just show them getting their award. It is so short compared to the other years' highlights.

@His Servant, (I like your username!:) It was really neat FINALLY being able to watch David. =D They took so long to make it! It was disappointing how short it was though. :( Oh!!! Of course I'll tell you if we're ever in MO!!!!! :D And you have to tell me if you're out here!!! :)

Did any of you go to the Dixie Stampede? I didn't want to go, but my sister did so we went. (I still don't think very much of it)

Aww, come on Zachary, the Dixie Stampede was fun! One of my favorite parts was the manger scene, and when the guy came out afterward and said, "Now that, friends, is the true meaning of Christmas."

Yea, the was pretty much the only good thing. The rest of it just seemed boring to me

Zachary, coming from South Dakota, I'd have to see the Dixie Stampede was the funnest thing we did down there, except for the NBB of course :)

We didn't. We thought about it, and almost went, but then decided not to.

When Mom had asked Christian, Nicolas and I about going to the Dixie Stampede, we all immediately said no. :) We ended up going to the Titanic exhibit instead. It was a lot of fun, yet sad at the same time. Did anyone else go to it?

We did not go to any of the things in Pigeon forge, TN. We had gone to the Titanic exhibit in Branson though. It was a lot of fun and sad. It was really neat to see all the different things. On your tickets who were you? Did you survive?

LOVED the Dixie Stampede! Funny, family friendly, delicious food, and laughed till my face hurt. Did you like Chicken Nugget, Zach?
Only sad part for me was having to leave BB Senior Finals early to make it to Dixie Stampede on time.

I was a 56 year old woman named Mary Hewlett- 2nd class, Dad was a 45 year old man named Frederic Spedden-1st class, Christian was a 62 year old man named William Stead-1st class, and Nicolas was a 33 year old man named Edmond Stone-crew-1st class bedroom steward. Dad and I survived, but Christian and Nicolas died. :D

One of the most interesting things was that one of my brothers had a survivor from Perkins County, SD the same county that we live in of all the odds. :) FYI South Dakota is not a largely populated state, and Perkins County is in Northwestern South Dakota one of the least if not the least populated county in South Dakota. We actually are familiar with their family.

My brother just finished printing out the passages for seniors for nationals………….yeah………..ummm…….that's all I have to say.

I feel that one super long one is way easier than 20 short ones !

Yup! And they're usually better for oratory, too.
