Any spanish speakers out there?

Anybody else learning Spanish?

(I confess to using Google Translate for a large part of that, but I'm trying to learn Spanish and it would be fun to use this thread to talk to one another in Spanish.)

That is SO neat that you know some Spanish, Alex! I've tried three times on learning it, but never had a good progrem/book, etc. for learning it. Any suggestions?

I speak a small amount of Spanish, but my older sister has a summer job at a plant nursery-and most/all of the manual workers are Hispanic, so she hears a lot of Spanish! She can speak some too.
She told us about an incident in which she was having a Spanish conversation with someone, and then he turned around and said to someone else, "Hey, Joe! What's up man?" with no trace of an accent!! :)

Back to English :D I'm trying to learn Spanish with Rosetta Stone, but I haven' done that for a while :) Our church has ha a few Spanish classes over the years…

I speak = yo hablo
Español, not Espanol
I am = yo estoy
grammer = gramatica
I have = yo tengo

I'm in my third year of Spanish for school, but I'm still not very fluent. At all. I know how to conjugate verbs and such, but I'm terrible at vocabulary. I probably couldn't carry on much of a conversation, because I don't know many verbs or nouns.

I know it is not spelled that way, but I do not know how to put the accent mark over the n. Also when I said fill in the gaps I meant try to put it into English.

We have Rosetta stone and it is really good to use if you are learning another language but we stopped doing it for last years Bible Bee and we have not started back up yet.

If you want to use Google Translate, it is SUPER easy to use. Type in "translate.google.com" in the address box at the top of your screen, and it will take you directly to a place where you can type something in any language and translate it into any other language. It is amazingly cool, and you don't have to sign up, pay, or give any information about yourself to anyone. :)

I know that, but the problem is that we have a program that blocks all internet websites except the ones that my dad puts on a list. (he added Memverse to that list :)
