Hey, has anyone read The Binding of The Blade series? I found the first book free as an ebook online and am reading it. Free Ebooks ftw!

Who else likes Christian Fantasy/Sci-fi? Does anyone have any favorite series?
Fantasy fiction I like:
Narnia by C. S. Lewis Thumbs up!
Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien Read it in a week, and loved it. Not sure about the wizards and stuff though.
Kingdom Series by Chuck Black Ok, I liked it, but way too much allegory. The story line is too predictable if you know the Bible stories.
The Knights of Arrethtrae by Chuck Black I loved this series so much better than the first! Many of the things that made me not like the first series he changed. Makes me wait in anticipation for his next series! Looks awesome. Only problem is that new creatures come up every book and don't show up ever again. Kind of weird.
The Space Trilogy by C. S. Lewis I've only read the first book and most of the second. I really liked the first book, but the second book was a bit strange, and my sister read the last book and said it was really weird. I think C. S. Lewis changed when he got older. Anyone else read it?
The Dragon Trilogy by Stephen Lawhead I've read the first two in the series. Enjoyable read, but the magic is almost overdone. Not that much more magic than LOTR but it disturbed me more (though mainly practiced by bad guys). Anyone read any of his other books?
The Door Within Trilogy by W.T. Batson Anyone read all three books? Read the third book and liked it sort of, but it doesn't work to read the last book first. I'll probably try and read the other two when I get the chance.
The Peleg Chronicles by M. C. Harding Found the first book free on Amazon Kindle! I like his writing style but you could tell by the ending he was trying to get you to buy the other books. Are the other books worth reading?
Ranger's Apprentice by John Flangan Loved these books, though they are not Christian. There is some swearing and a couple pages you can skip. Really enjoyed reading it. No magic, but it does have a some mind manipulation (not as bad as it sounds). Really want to read the latest book The Royal Ranger in the series and his next series based in the same land The Brotherband Chronicles.
Binding of the Blade Series by L. B. Graham Reading the first book now. Looks like it could be a really cool series! I'll post my thoughts when I finish it.

Has anyone read Dragon in our Midst series? What are your thoughts. I haven't read it. How about Wayne Thomas Batson's other series?

-I read the first book a few years ago, and didn't know if there were more then.
It was pretty good, kinda odd in some places though.-
goes to website and sees strange unforgettable (as in one that has been seen before and not forgotten) cover pic of a giant
Ok, not the books I was thinking of at all.
I did read the first two I believe of this series, Okay I would say, and sorta strange throughout even more so with the things about the titans, and a God like the real one, and prophets, and all. It apparently wasn't such that I felt compelled to read the rest of them. I wondered how many main characters can be killed off, because there was one towards the end of each book that I read. Glad I checked to see what I was talking about.

It is almost like a copy of the LOTR. The Titans are in place of Wizards. ( I think it's better). Though I haven't read all of it yet.

I meant magic wise, Wizards aren't very good, but replacing it with Tizens is better I think. I agree it is very different from lotR. He just took some ideas from it. Like, the bad guys are created under a mountain in the fire (I think), there is bad relations between humans and other races which need to be solved to defeat the enemy, etc.

I've read the Dragon in our Midst series, and I love it! Of course the theology is off a little bit, but I still think it's a great read. :)

Certain works, I would say enjoy some sort of exemption in their theological accuracy, as they are only allegorical, like Narnia, or perhaps the Binding of the blade series. The Dragons in our midst series, however is like historical fiction, introducing extra and rather major additions into The garden of Eden, The flood with Noah, and then up through the current century I believe.

Edit: Forgot that Narnia also is a historical fiction style book too.

Biblebee mentioned these four pages ago (I think), but - who else likes Douglas Bond's books? (raise hands) :)
And which ones have you read?

I've read…
All four Mr. Pipes books,
The Crown and Covenant trilogy,
The Faith and Freedom trilogy,
Hostage Lands,
The Hand of Vengeance…
(I think that's it)

Ok, lets see…for them to read themselves, or for reading out loud?

For themselves, all the books mentioned by Margaret and MilesChristiSum, plus The Little Bear stories, Go Dogs, Go! and Little Toot. Oh! and Tacky the Penguin.

For reading out loud: James Harriot's animal stories, Teddy's Button, and others by that author, Little Women, Anne of Green Gables, Twenty-One Balloons, Chronicles of Narnia…the list is almost endless.
