Christian Contemporary Music

No, is it good?
BTW, I have a playlist on my computer of my favorite Britt Nicole songs. I listen to it while I do my schoolwork. XP
And if anyone is ever bored, find one of those sound-recording programs that should come on your computer and speed up Christain Contemporary songs. Now you have Christian Contemporary Chipmunks! TobyMac's "Made To Love You" especially is funny when you do this.
Ian R.2
It's a good song, and very catchy, but it reminds me of Elvis for some reason. :P
LOL! That's sounds really funny! :D
Random Narnian Warrior (Tarva/Abi)
It sounds cool. I'll have to look it up.
Another hilarious one is the Newsboys' "Shine". That song makes you laugh as it is, but sped up…I almost died laughing the first time I did it.
Ian R.2
I wish I could do that, but I don't think I have the right stuff. :)
Random Narnian Warrior (Tarva/Abi)
Do you have Windows Movie Maker?
Ian R.2
I don't think so.
Random Narnian Warrior (Tarva/Abi)
If you have a Windows, Dell, Toshiba, etc. it should have come with the computer. But if you have a Mac it won't work. :-(
Ian R.2
I think we have Windows, but I'll have to ask my dad if I'm allowed to do that.
Random Narnian Warrior (Tarva/Abi)
Okay.
Ian R.2
Is it hard to do once you find it?
Hiruko Kagetane
It's fairly easy.
In reply to Ian R.2
Ian R.2
Okay now I really want to try it out. Thanks Abi, and Sam!
Random Narnian Warrior (Tarva/Abi)
No problem!
And BTW, you'll need to make it into a movie first. Import a sound/music file of your song and put it in the audio/music part. Then put a picture in the video part. Save it to your computer as a low-quality video file. Then import the video, put it in the video section, right-click and go onto the video properties thingy, increase speed to double speed, then click play and laugh. If that doesn't make any sense, I'll try to explain better if I'm still on.
Ian R.2
Yeah, it doesn't make much sense. I'm also pretty bad when it comes to computers, so that doesn't help. :P
Random Narnian Warrior (Tarva/Abi)
Al right, I'll see if I can explain it in a bit…
Ian R.2
I have to go now. Bye Abi!
Random Narnian Warrior (Tarva/Abi)
Bye!

I've heard "Shake", but the first time I heard it, I almost thought they were doing a throwback to the 80s or something, it sounded so unlike anything I'd ever heard. :P Interesting the direction MercyMe has been taking lately, what with "Move" and now "Shake"… Will the next one be "Bounce"? lol
Christian Alexander
I noticed the same thing, Matthew. Yeah, I think they were trying to go for an 80's feel, if not even earlier than that. If you watch the music video, you can see that they were definitely trying to do a throwback.
In my opinion, "Shake" is way better than "Move." =P But I look forward to "Bounce"! xD
Ian R.2
In my opinion it sounded more like a 60s throwback, but I'm not an expert. :P
Claire
I looked at the music video for only about ten seconds, and decided that I really didn't like watching a grown man shaking around like my seven year old brother.
I like that song though, but I think I like Move better (My family is always confused when we say "move" because Mercyme has a song with that title, but Third Day has an album titled "Move" as well.
I got an album yesterday (my birthday) by Jeremy Camp, which is kind of a controversial singer (some love him, some hate him), its called "Icon" and it has all his really classic songs on it. They're all really good and will be great to add to my iPod playlist. :D
Thoughts? (On the album, songs, etc. by Jeremy Camp)
Dani(elle)
I don't mind Jeremy Camp I just think all his songs sound the same…..
Matthew Minica
I really like Jeremy Camp mainly because of his diversity in style. Of all his songs, I tend to prefer milder ones like "I Still Believe" and "Walk by Faith" rather than hard rock such as "Reckless" and "You're Worthy of My Praise". I don't have the album "Icon", but I would probably recognize most of the songs on it. :) Oh, and has anybody heard "Carried Me", the title track of "Carried Me: The Worship Project"? That song brings out a whole new side of JC!
Matthew Minica
Whoa, we said pretty much opposite things. o_O @Danielle, if you think that, you obviously haven't heard a whole lot of Jeremy Camp!
Claire
I like to try and discern who is singing on the radio, and I always have trouble telling from the voice if it is Jeremy Camp or Casting Crowns. So in that way, I wish he had a voice I could tell was him. Otherwise, I really like the power in his lyrics. I prefer his rock-y kind of songs, but I do like his other ones as well.
Bethany Meckle
One of my newfound favorite bands/groups/whatever-you-want-to-call-it…. www.youtube.com/watch?v=belPmfNDuko
EDIT: David Wesley is the lead singer, btw, just in case you couldn't figure that out. ;)

Too bad, it's not "Bounce" it's called "Greater". :P

What is everyone's favorite artist?
Casting Crowns…

Coolio!! Same here! x)

Wait…what? Jeremy Camp? Rock-y????????? Are you joking????
Matthew Minica
I think I'd have to say Praise You in This Storm.
@Abigail - Sure, Jeremy Camp is rocky. I've not been liking him as much after listening to Air1 more lately xP I can think of a few extremely rocky songs - "The Way", "Take My Life", "Reckless", "You're Worthy of My Praise"… etc.
Jackson
Yeah, that's one of my favorites, too. My favorites are probably Thrive, Glorious Day, Always Enough, and Praise You in This Storm.

So you guys might be wondering why I changed my username temporarily, especially as I'm home now. Actually, it comes from one of my all-time favorite CCM songs - "Homesick" by MercyMe. Though originally written as a song of hope for those grieving a deceased loved one, many of the lyrics fit perfectly with my emotions at this time of year as I struggle through the reality of saying good-bye to my best friends for another year.
The chorus goes like this:
I close my eyes, and I see your face.
If home's where the heart is, then I'm out of place.
Lord, won't you give me strength to make it through somehow.
I've never been more homesick than now.
The bridge is especially encouraging:
In Christ there are no good-byes,
And in Christ there is no end.
So I'll hold on to Jesus with all that I have
To see you again,
To see you again.
Hope that explains things. :) And hope it encourages you!
SavedByGrace
Wow. Indeed it does. Thank you. :)
God's Maiden of Virtue
