@His Servant I : Praying for you, my friend! How did today's appointments go? [And not smiling/laughing for over a month sounds super difficult…praying!! ] Blessings, Bethany! :)

@elizabeth - Thank you for praying, that means a lot to me! The orthodontist appointment went better than I thought, but the dentist appointment wasn't the best. They used their "power washer" to clean my teeth. It's when they have this really powerful tool that sprays this white stuff on your teeth, to get between each bracket, and normally the white stuff gets over all your clothes, face, etc. The assistant took off my sunglasses and promptly said "My! You look like a snowman"….okay, thanks, not exactly what I wanted to hear… :)

Thanks for praying everyone!! I'm doing pretty well, and my teeth aren't hurting really bad either!!

@All - If you could be praying….I have a horrible headache for the last 2 days that refuses to go away. I've been stuck in bed all day while my family gets to be outside playing and shoveling snow! I've taken 6 pain killers in the last 2 days, and am ready to be done. :(

So, a little while ago, I posted that I was feeling much better than before; well, a couple of days after that, it started coming back again. :( Mom took me to the doctor on Friday, and the doctor said that I do not have strep throat, but I most likely have a virus called mono. So, if you could continue to pray for me, that I would actually start getting better and that I would not spread any germs. :) Thanks!

@Rosie - I'm really sorry to hear that you are doing not as well again…but, an opportunity to rejoice even in difficult situations! Thank you for taking it so well, what an encouragement to me! I'll be praying for you!

BTW, I sent out your letter on Friday, so you should be getting it on Monday, hopefully :)

EDIT - Actually, Amy just told me that there is no mail for Christmas Eve, so maybe you'll get it on Wednesday!

Thank you! Mom and I had blood tests today (Mom caught the cold that I've had last week:( ); we should get the results on Friday.

Well, since you didn't get it on Monday (which is surprising, since it takes three days, and I sent it on Friday), you should get it today. I'll be looking forward to hearing from you - your letters are very encouraging to me!! :)

Yeah; and even though I might have a virus, Mom I think has been feeling worse than me this week. :(

Actually, it didn't come in the mail today. I wonder why….

I'm sorry it didn't come yet. I asked my mom what she thought, and she said it's probably because of the all the mail that is sent at this time of year, and so some things will probably just take longer to get to certain places.

Ok, one last update: Mom had a doctor's appointment this morning, and the doctor said that she does not have strep throat! She also got the results from our blood tests. Mom's blood test was very good, and will Lord willing be getting better soon! And then according to my blood test, I do not have mono! Praise the Lord for His abundant mercy!

I got my wisdom teeth pulled yesterday…I'm doing okay, but my face is extremely swollen, so bad that it feels like I have golf balls in my cheeks! And, since I haven't really eaten anything very hard, my jaw joints are super sore. It sort of uncomfortable, but that's all….

Hey Elizabeth, I'll have to put you on my list of Memverse National Qualifiers! Are any of your siblings on Memverse? I think I met you briefly at Nationals… checks BB program …yep, your signature is on there.

Boy, that DOES sound uncomfortable… I sort of know what it's like to have teeth pulled (though I had very little swelling when mine were pulled), so I'll definitely be praying for you! :)

@Matthew Minica: I actually didn't make the cut for nationals this year, but my brother (Andrew A) made it, so although I was at nationals, I wasn't a qualifier. Hopefully this isn't too confusing…sorry about that! :) It was our first year participating in the BB and it was such a blessing! Oh, and my brother, Andrew, mentioned that he talked with you before the opening ceremonies. :)

EDIT: Oh, and, yes, all three of my brothers are on memverse, too. :)

If everyone could pray for a family we know - they had a baby six weeks early back in October, went through some health challenges right at the beginning, but he's been doing fine for almost two months now. Baby Jacob was taken to the hospital this past weekend with breathing issues, and they found out he has a partially collapsed lung and, at this point, pneumonia. The tricky thing is that he's not responding to any of the treatment….. Please pray for wisdom for the doctors and parents, as well as their other 7 children, who are sick with the flu.

I'll be praying for them.

If you could be praying…we've got the flu at our house :( Most of my family are over it, but I just caught it and Amy still has it (got it about 11 days ago!). The most painful part of it is the sore throat.

I'll be praying for you. We have it too. I don't have it any more but my mom got it last night and my sister got it this morning and it sounds like my brother has it too.(I think my mom says he's throwing up right now):

I'd like to request prayer for myself - I've had a pain in my back all day - came on suddenly this AM. I've been sitting down most of the day. It feels a bit better now but still hurts.

I haven't been able to move my neck for over two days. I pulled a muscle or pinched a nerve(or something) and it hurts a LOT. Also i've been very tired.
