lol don't think I can go that far. I can study, think, and eat at the same time though! of course, I can eat while doing almost anything…

Sarah Johnston

haha yeah. That's another great thing about home-schooling… you can study while singing, swinging, eating, and thinking.
Except your classmates might not appreciate the singing.

I can eat while hanging upside down! However, I do not advice drinking milk out of a cup while hanging upside down. My expert experience in this field shows that it is not a good idea.

Eating upside down is easy. Your body doesn't need gravity to swallow. However, your foods might not appreciate the difference in orientation between you and them. :P

Sarah Johnston

haha yes! and you might just get a full blown concert going with your siblings, with your teacher applauding how well you display your musical abilities…
btw, what Saxon math book are u on?

lol… NOTHING dies! They just grow into monsters…. I thought I had mastered sine, cosine, and tangent, but they have become so huge!

3efdb816df3c53b20fed57ee9b4779f0?s=128&d=mm

Hiruko Kagetane

Yup. Trig never leaves you. I like it though, because we have set rules for trig, which makes it nice and orderly. Unlike some operations.

9594854216c38edc04f435766021cd9f?s=128&d=mm

Sarah Johnston

yeah and the good thing about being in this advanced math is that it was way easier than I anticipated to take the SAT!

I haven't taken it yet, but I am in a Prep class for SAT and ACT, and so far, the SAT has more challenging and tricky questions, while the ACT questions are more straightforward.

9594854216c38edc04f435766021cd9f?s=128&d=mm

Sarah Johnston

oh ok that makes sense. yeah, the SAT questions can be hard… it's like testing your ability to figure out and answer questions almost as much as the subject it's questioning you on.

Daniel took the SAT and Amy took the ACT and that's what they said as well.

Sarah Johnston

Yeah I liked it though. I had some really really helpful books that I went through before taking the test, cuz I was really nervous, but it went great. Except the essay. :P It's too much to ask when you are put on the spot with a ticking timer!

3efdb816df3c53b20fed57ee9b4779f0?s=128&d=mm

Hiruko Kagetane

Yeah, I'd hate the essay too. I normally hate essays, but we're given a random topic and a specific amount of time to do it? But, I might do it anyway, because colleges will look at whether or not you did it.

9594854216c38edc04f435766021cd9f?s=128&d=mm

Sarah Johnston

yeah normally I enjoy writing… but I write what I want! lol it's a completely random topic and you can't research it and you only have twenty minutes.
I think my completed essay had illustrations about spiderman, ice-cream, and big brothers. lol

Sarah Johnston

hahaha I actually didn't do as bad as I thought I would on it, grade-wise, so I guess the essay-readers enjoyed it. lol

We are doing well! Getting ready for another little sibling to join the family in a couple months! :D
In your last email you mentioned something about working full-time now. What's your job?

Wait what? Baby number… 10?? I didn't hear about this!
I'm am working at a Chiropractic office… my family has been going to him for about a year and a half and I've been working the front-office-desk-job for about six months now. I am actually out sick today, so my sister is filling in. (another great thing about being homeschooled) :)

We need Carissa here now. :P

Let's see… Did you do anything with the discount code for Journey to the Heart that we got at Locals?

EDIT: We are also getting way off topic. SC would be a better place for this. :)

You might be a homeschooler if… you know more about the year 1940 than you do about 2000.

I am definitely guilty of that! 0_o

…When PJ's are the official school uniform.

Lol! Love it!

When people give you weird looks in Walmart and ask you if there was some holiday they didn't know about. :P

Oh, that happened to me once. I said, "Um, I don't think so?" and hurried away as they stared after me in confusion. Then I got outside the store, and the buses were all over the place dropping kids off…so I guess there was a half-day after all. And I confused those poor strangers as well as myself…oh well.
