Memverse Meeting & National Bible Bee

We are planning for a Memverse meeting at the National Bible Bee. I figured it would be better to start earlier then later. Of course I’m sure we will want to add and edit our plans as the time gets closer, but here is a start.
^Please understand that I have never been to Nationals before, so I can only imagine what it might be like and what we might need to do to make this happen. My ideas may need a lot of help!^

Arrangements for these things will need to be made before we send out the invitations:

• We will want a room, or area of some kind, designated and assigned for this meeting.
  *A good time when no other Bible Bee activities are happening (we may want to talk to a Bible Bee leader for ideas).
• A poster made for Memverse (something we can all sign).

Things we would like to do at this meeting:
*Have Memverse name tags of some kind.

• Sign the poster.
• Take a picture of the group that can make it (no opting out).
• Chat and get acquainted in person!

As for sending out invitations here are some ideas:

• We could send them to the families of the children on Memverse.
• We could write the email and ask Alex and/or Andy to send it out to all the Memversers on Memverse. (I don’t know if that would work at all but it’s an idea….)

Potential Date/Time: Wednesday, 6:00PM (after registration)

I really think that the more parents and leaders we have involved and supporting this activity the better turn out we will have, and the more successes we will have.

Good idea. I personally think the best time to meet is after the Senior oral and written testing. So, I think like Thursday afternoon. Concerning the place, I do not know. Never been to that hotel before.

Signing the poster sounds fun! It would be neat to have something to remember it by.

We really should do nametags again. At least for those who don't have their actual name as their username. And especially if we others don't know what they look like. xP

@Hannah- Aw, that’s to bad. I was really hoping you’re family could be there!

@Dani- I really hope so. I’m also really busy this year… and it cost a lot to go. But if my cousin Abby makes it I will go with her (I couldn’t dream of missing it then!). :)

@Leah- I have never been to Nationals so I would not be good at finding a time, and I'm not really sure how to go about it… but it may be the most important part of planing this thing. If everyone could please try to guess as to what would be the best time for there family, I think, that would be good!

@Sarah and Leah - I think that the best days are Wednesday and Thursday afternoon. I don't think Friday and Saturday are good because of all the challenge rounds going on all day.

That sounds good! I will put that down as the potential date and time. We can change it later if we need to. :)

If it's on wednesday neither I nor Bethany will be there…cause our parents always wants us to study Wednesday.

Oh rats! This will hard then. I'm not sure how to do it… but like I said, we really need to have our parents in on this get together or it won't work.

Maybe when it gets closer to nats I can ask my parents about it and see if we can be there on Wednesday. But I'll have to wait to ask them because they'll forget it otherwise :P

Right. I understand that this is really early to start serious planning… but it's better to be too early then too late in my mind. :)

Found it. :) I have no breaks during scheduled during Nationals time, but we'll see. Maybe I'll be able to figure out something.

I wish I could come!!! I qualified for Nationals, but my family prayerfully decided that I wouldn't be competing. :'(

I was in that last senior oral group. We did not make it out in time. Not that I wanted to, I was seeing if I could manage to not meet anyone from Memverse. I only meet 4, which is pretty good.

Yes, I was in that last group (with Margaret–whom I remember very distinctly because of that :P)! I was sooooo disappointed that I didn't get to make the meeting. :(
